In a jacket pocket, in my laptop case, or (if I'm going to a concert or something and don't want to carry stuff) I shove everything I need into my boots :)

I don't. The only person who needs to call me is Daddy, and I am rarely ever gone long enough to need a cellular.

When I did have one though, it was in a pocket in front of my purse. Bra's were also handy for storing small things, and one time for a kinky street fair I put my cell phone in my bra since I was naked and didn't have a stitch of luggage on me to put it in.

This purse doesn't have an outside pocket so it goes inside and I never hear it ring. The old purse, with the outside pocket, he has banned me from. Apparently I put too much stuff in it. It could carry a water bottle and a teddy bear with ease. That's not too big, is it?

Oh and my daughter's horse lurrrves the cell phone. He constantly wants at it if she's talking. We have yet to know who he wants to call though.

I am sure that Mo would absolutely love to play with my cell phone. He thinks everything within his reach is a toy made especially for him. Strings on coats, hair clips, the back buckle on the farriers chaps (seeing a full grown man swinging from a horse's mouth is quite comical), chickens, etc.

I have taken my cell phone along on very long multi-day trail rides when I knew there would be children along. Just in case a 911 call was needed. It was either in a saddle bag or saddle horn bag that was attached to my endurance saddle. Just not turned on.

If we are strictly speaking about cell phones, I would carry it around like it's my third appendage.  If I'm wearing boots, I can stick it down the side of my boots.  If not, it stays in my hand.

I have this black bag and there is an outside pouch made especially for my cell phone. Makes it easier to hear/feel it buzz and vibrate.
