Status: offline 		Actually, with my younger horse (the one I am more likely to get dumped off of), I don't carry my phone because I want to focus 100% on what I am doing so I do not get dumped. I don't want to hear it ring, I don't want it to vibrate, and I don't want to worry about doing something to damage it.

I want all of my attention, in the moment.

I'm not telling you what to do, but a simple solution would be to have it switched off and on a lanyard around your neck so it doesn't get damaged. That way, if anything does happen, you can just ring someone-less effort than dragging yourself back and exacerbating the problem...

No worries. And if you saw the way I ride, you would understand why that is not an option. I would need several lanyards, harnessing the thing against my body. Even then, branches etc......would probably be tearing it off.

I never carried mine either, even when i was on the horse who thought it was funny to toss my ass off (i swear the lil shit would turn around just as i hit the ground, and SNICKER!)
Then he threw me when we were on a red dog road and it was a long, painful walk back to the house.
Now i turn it off and carry it in my boot.

Status: offline 		I either wear riding sneakers or english style boots........no place for a phone in either. Plus, I just don't want to carry it. I survived before I had one and rode a lot crazier then than now.

Status: offline 		i have a MOMpurse. Sure the phone gets tossed in there, along with a few juice boxes, baby wipes, 2-3 toys, a container of Cherrios, a bag of pretzels because the LO does not like Cherrios...etc.

It rings, but i have yet to hear it.

Status: offline 		I am required by my employer to always have my cell phone with me.  I don't carry a purse, so pockets are a must.  If I set it down, I'll probably forget it when I go to a different floor.  She kinda gets upset when she can't get through to me.  *sigh*
