I'm submissive, yet a lot of people find me intimidating. I think it's because I am fairly tall, and very self-confident. If I had a nickel for every submissive male who has come to me over the years assuming I am a domme because of my confidence, I would be able to purchase a dream home by now. This was worse when I was actively participating in martial arts. For some reason, men assume that if you can kick ass in the dojo, you long to do nothing but kick ass everywhere. I just laugh. I really think that some people find confident women intimidating.

People frequently tell me that I'm very approachable and friendly, but a lot of men (especially submissive ones) have been intimidated by me. I'm not sure whether it has to do with their personality, or the slightly predatory vibe they sparked from me. [;)]

i have never had a problen in aproaching someone new im not bashfull in the least. as my Mistress has stated She is a very aproachable and socal person but i understan what the op is saying in that some feel that they are not in there league and above the notice of simple submissives. in a public play setting if They didnt want to meet you then They wouldnt have come out.
