Nice stuff Maria

i too love dressing up... in so many different ways
generally the more rediculous the more it turns me on... i do like a laugh

i think all the rubber and latex fet wear is rather rediculously serious, i wish i had some... and i have heard that people are sort of expected to wear stuff like that if they go to a club or they might be refused entrance... which if true i think is a pity because it makes it even more difficult for me to ever be able to get my man to attend such an event...
i think i should perhaps get him a uniform of some kind.

i like things like a hooker with a moustache, or naked with a pig mask
or dressed up as a maid just because i am cleaning the house
or anything He says He wants to see me in, generally stockings and suspenders... i personally like it when they are all tatty and laddered, but He likes things more classy, so generally we start classy and end up tatty.
i also much like (under)wear with holes in the right places, whilst He has a thing for girly white knickers

on occasion when there is a glamour or pyama party at my dance club i might have an excuse to go out risky or maybe on new years-eve i once dressed as a naughty schoolgirl and he took me on a pub crawl...

i also make my own stuff... once i made a red velvet lady of the castle sort of dress from an old curtain and we went to an ancient castle ruin and i put it on in the car and we wandered around the grounds and my Husband and some other people who were there took pictures of me... it was very spacey.

See a man in a suit is a fetish for me (all the things I can do with his tie!!) so this is fetwear for me. ;-)

Sadly, you don't get to use the tie on me..... the reverse however...................:)

What I like best is to wear something hot and classy, like Lady Angelika said, do the hair, makeup, nails, etc., start off perfect and then get WRECKED. Or show up naked with cuffs.

I mostly wear black when out, love boots, always appropriate for wherever.

On men, I love a well cut suit and most of all, love a man wearing jeans, black tee shirt or dark button down, leather jacket, belt, boots and a great watch. Yummy.

I don't like the obvious fet wear for men especially, like masks. I always think of the Gimp in Pulp Fiction and that is creepy.

In all honesty, most modern day fetwear that I see is too trashy for my taste and looks like something a stripper would wear.

I'm into classic eroticwear personally, french lingerie, corsets, stockings, garters, lace, satin, silk... and it is all for private viewing only ;-)

The few times I went to public events, little black dress & black heels. No fetwear.

This pretty much reflects my thoughts. I love getting dressed up but nothing costumey or what seems just......yuck.

Then again, some of the things I wear at home would be considered a costume for some people...

Mercnbeth -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 7:47:23 AM)

I indulge beth's 'dress up' fetish regularly and often. It runs the gamut from formal designer gowns to custom fitted leather harness; with appropriate shoes and boots to match. she has thigh high boots in 3 colors, gold, silver, and black; although the black ones after two heel changes needs replacement. Come to our house on any given day and a beth 'fashion show' is likely to break out.

I get to dress 'complimentary', and enjoy it. I'm "one of those guys" who enjoy a formal setting with a finely tailored suit. We have a number of formal business and charitable commitments a year so I have a great 'Hugo Boss' tux complimenting beth's gowns. Knowing beth is naked under her gown adds a bit of spice to the event boredom. I've got the standard 'fetish' leather ensemble, pants, vest, and boots we picked up in Edinburgh. Over the years I've collected pins and other talisman from the various places and events we've attended. There's been a unique 'Folsom Street Fair' outfit created for each of the 6 years we've attended. Last year's was the 'Sluts Are People Too!' theme.

beth's skills as a seamstress comes in handy. her 'Bee Queen' Halloween costume, with my complimentary 'Bee Keeper' outfit, is amazing. Also ready to go in case a costume party breaks out, are 'Marie Antoinette', and 'Wicked Witch'. she currently working on this year's costume for me - 'Jack the Ripper'; for her - the 'Street Whore'.

Come on - who doesn't have fun dressing up? It's FUN! Tux and gown to leather harness - these are all 'costumes'. The standard, and preferred 'costume' at the home - naked, with stylish leather cuffs on wrists and ankles for beth, and a skull cap for me to keep my bald head from burning in the sun. Always in fashion, always in style.

LaTigresse -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 9:13:17 AM)

Dammit. I found it on flicker and saved it, but the file I saved won't open for me either.

I did a search for a photo of woman in jeans. Found a great middle aged hag, sitting on a curb outside a bar, smoking, stained jeans and tank top, cheap flip flops, boobs in her lap.

Jeffff -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 9:14:42 AM)

I am sure it looks good on you!

playfulotter -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 9:24:44 AM)

I only dress up for him and wear what he wants but only in private and never in public. Sometimes I buy something on my own that I think he would like. He is partial to corsets, fishnet body suits or thigh highs, leather body harnesses, collars especially posture collars, latex and only the colors black and red....and rope of course!

I agree.  A man in a nice dark suit is sexy, especially if it is tailored to fit him.  yummmmm

To answer the question.  I've attended parties dressed in everything from a babydoll nightgown with ruffled panties, to black corsette dress and thigh high boots, but I've gone in a business suit from work, or jeans and t-shirt as well. Dressing up is fun, but if I'm actually going to be playing, I usually go in something easy to slip out of, and after play I usually just wear whatever is thrown over me.  Haven't been to a party in ages.  Maybe I'll make Wicked before I head back to the other side of the state.   (got me feeling all nostalgic for a party now!)

LillyoftheVally -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 10:00:53 AM)

I like dressing up. I can't afford any of the fancy stuff but I normally get compliments for what I do wear (I never tell them that most of the 'corsets' are from Primark) There is something really empowering about having people stare at you when you feel sexy. I don't much care for dressing up at home, Ill do it but its more about the exhibitionist in me

sodsta -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 11:29:45 AM)

I really quite like dressing up when I go out to fetish events. There isn't too much in the way of male fetish-wear that I'm all that fond of, though, so I tend to opt for something more costume-y. One of my favourite fetishy costumes is one I've dubbed the "gothic stable boy" which consists of black trousers, a pair of riding boots, a white shirt, black waistcoat and a black velvet ribbon tied into a bow at the neck. Or I have the "Little Lord Fauntleroy" complete with frilly cuffs and velvet jacket. I like a little bit of theatre with my costumes. :)

afterforever -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 1:20:09 PM)

Lady A's thoughts pretty much mirror my own on this. I try to avoid leather as much as I can and PVC makes me cringe, so if I'm slutting it up I go with nice french underwear, heels and a corset. I have 2 really well-made corsets from Fairy Gothmother, if only I could get the 22" one done up properly I would be happy forever.

This is (so far) just in private, when I go to an event I usually wear a corset over a tshirt and jeans, burlesque casual?

I do like the idea of something way theatrical, but I'm generally too lazy to put that much thought into it and I don't go anywhere that it would be appropriate anyway.

osf -> RE: Dressup (1/15/2010 2:47:52 PM)

i'd feel silly wearing a play suit
sexy wear on her another matter but still it doesn't need to be special stuff

and white Velcro shoes attract the geese

And the irony is that I'm naked at the computer right now, wondering if there are even any flights in from Canada. *is tempted to check since she already has the airport website up from checking into her Florida trip*

A lot of fetish wear is horrible looking, and a buzz kill.

Not a helpful answer, but it's what I got. [;)]
