For those that venture out into the public scene.... One of the common things one will see is fetwear of all sorts.

So... are you into fetwear when you go out to the scene?... or maybe just do it in the privacy of your own home.

what does fetwear do for you if anything... or not do.


For this family... we enjoy it... it's like having the icing on the cake .... it adds alittle sweetness but it's not the substance of what is there. We are more of the view that the people make the clothes and not the other way around. In otherwords.... no matter what you wear... we like to know the person under the skin... for what is in that substance makes what is seen all the more sweet.

In all honesty, most modern day fetwear that I see is too trashy for my taste and looks like something a stripper would wear.

I'm into classic eroticwear personally, french lingerie, corsets, stockings, garters, lace, satin, silk... and it is all for private viewing only ;-)

The few times I went to public events, little black dress & black heels. No fetwear.

I'm with LadyAngelika on this. I feel the same way about fetishwear. I tend to stick to little black dresses, nice pair or stiletto heels or something classy.

I own nothing that is close to fet wear. If I were to show up at an event, I suppose I would wear a  dark pinstripe suit.

The male equivalent of the little black dress?

Or maybe some black jeans and a cotton button down shirt. I would feel silly in leather pants, But that's just me.

I like going to playparties - it's an excuse to dress up in something fancy (mostly corsets rather than more blatantly/exclusively fetishwear). I also enjoy dressing up just for my Master. [:D]

About the only pieces of clothing I own that I can classify as "fetwear" would be the two leather corsets; one given to me as a gift from a very special friend and the other I bought myself.  [:D]  Everything else that I wear for social BDSM events can be classified as "clubwear"  Who doesn't like to play dress up?  [:)]

I save the raciest pieces (the birthday suit) for home but I love all the fetwear. I don't tend to scene in it as much in public (some of it is so hard to move in) but I will go to clubs and parties dressed to kill. I love dressing up. Classy and  trashy I think there's a time and a place for everything! I like it because it makes me feel confidant and sexy. Of course, I already know how to feel that way but these things make it easy. I also enjoy playing with my look for it's own sake- it's fun. If I'm at a strip club and I see a stripper wearing something I like I always make sure to ask her where she got it (after my lap dance of course).

I enjoy some of the fetwear I see others wearing and some of the costumes. Some very creative people out there as far as dressing like that goes and they have fun with it and enjoy themselves. I do not really have anything that could be classified as fetwear or costumes as yet myself, but I am very interested in getting a quality corset or two when finances permit among a couple of other pieces.

I'd like to get into fetwear, but I just don't think it would work for me...I don't think it's appropriate for me anyhow, but I like to see others having fun with it.  Being blessed with the same body as a Dom DeLuise stunt-double, the thought of fetware makes it more comic than "hawt".  So I stay within my limits, with a nice shirt and pants, a good set of nice boots usually makes it good.  I do own a leather vest if that counts as fetwear. 

Now if I had my druthers, I wouldn't mind a nice "Zorro" like shirt...I might not be risking looking like an overweight Corsican Brother, and would like it for my attitude while in play.  Just don't want to end up with a Seinfeldian "puffy-shirt" affair.  That would be bad.

My fetish wear consists of one of the corsets, leather skirt, and boots at any BDSM related event.  For special occasions or multiple day events, I'll wear My Cap.  I'll also do costumes for themed related events.  (The pic on My profile in the Sultana costume was from an event called Sultan's Harem.)

I enjoy dressing up when going out.  It adds to the atmosphere.

Dont have fet wear. I like the look of some of it I see. Not my thing but some of it is really hot and really well designed.

Some of it makes me want to guffaw.

I'm into costumes in general. I have finally accepted that I just have a costume kink of sorts. Granted it's not just any ol' costume that gets to me but I just LOVE costumes and dress-up. It doesn't actively turn me on to be wearing costumes but I do get a thrill out of it and I am SO attracted to other cosplayers that it's not even funny...

So when I go to kink events, I tend to dress to the nines - either in fetwear or in my latest costume. I don't really wear it around the house though. Around the house I'm usually naked.

I can total relate to the OP.  I attend 7 to 10 rock concerts a year and get "dressed up" as a hippie.  Which I was back in the day.  Headband Check.... Stoner to do list tee or tie dye  Check..... Beaded leather belt  Check   John Lennon round shades with 3 D eyeballs on the lens Check....  Old faded shorts or blue jeans that can "stand up in the corner"  Check...  Ppl stopping to have pict taken with you.   Check  some herb to get my mind right ...check


Some of the best times of my life are either sailing or hitting the concerts.  Yep I enjoi getting dressed up ...it's the same but different

I love dressing up for a club or party and I tend to do very Mistress stuff

I have always been known for being burlesque even before burlesque was the new in!
I love big hats with feathers, long opera gloves, slinky dresses with low cleavages and well made corsets.
I also love the 40-50s style girdle, real nylons and suspender belts with lots of straps.

I make corsets and some of my dresses have been designed and made by myself because quite often I have an idea but just can't find what I am looking for.
I had an idea for a see through full length fish tail dress with tattoo emboidery covering all the risky bits. A woman called Libby Rose made it for me http://00000000libbyrose.bigcartel.com/product/high-waisted-pencil-fishtail-skirt and its still my all time favorite.
One of the most important things for me when dressing up is being comfortable. I don't want to spend my night feeling so nipped in that I can't breath.
