Status: offline 		Here's a bit about it.  They were paid $50,000,000 over 3 years to distribute food stamp benefits in Florida alone.  This story also has a bit about how they were discovered outsourcing their call centers to India, instead of keeping the jobs here in the US.

Status: offline 		I am not on stamps though I should be. I am content with getting my food each week by cash (or check if mom pays). This is a budgeted household so when we get steaks on sale, its special. Just cooked up 2 ribeyes and they were good.

Status: offline 		It does however cost more to have the call center in the US. So be prepared for a larger amount of money to go to the food stamp program leaving less for other things or higher taxes. You can't have it both ways.

Status: offline 		What companies dont make money off of food stamps I think should be more of the question.

Nothing wrong these days with being on them, Ive seen $50,000 plus a year households loose mostly everything due to company shut downs.

As long as those that are legitimately on them to help their situation, I personally dont see anything wrong with applying for them.

To be on them to use them as a gain twards money(i.e. selling them) then I have an issue with it.
