I suspect most people are only hitting a very deep throat intermittently. You can get a lot more artistry into the act if you have both hands and your tongue into the action. I tend to save the deep throat for the climax.

If your eyes water, your nose is just gonna run. That's because the tear ducts drain into the nose. If you are gagging, your nose is going to plug up because your body is frantically trying to protect surfaces that may soon come into contact with stomach acid with mucus.

Timing and intention help the gagging. If you KNOW you are going to swallow it deep and you have the definite desire and intent to do it, there's less gagging (not necessarily none, some of that depends on the sensitivity of the vagus nerve). Some men like the gagging - and will put you on your back, head over the edge of the bed, and force you to take it deep throat to get that.

i never really have any nasal congection issues when i deepthroat,i don't really try to breathe from my nose i suppose. However i do get messy,drooly and i love it!

Crossing the street can be risky. Yes, if the banana is peeled, it can break off if it bumps into something. If you're keeping your glottis open at that time, it could theoretically get lodged somewhere if you aren't paying attention. Should this be a major concern, then lie on an inclining surface so that your head is lower than the rest of your body, which will prevent it from falling into the trachea.

Or, better yet, simply don't peel the damn thing.

Just cut the sharp end off and stick a flavored condom on it.

Actually, she is a doctor. :) I'm just asking to help her along with the solution. She's much to shy to ever draw attention to this by asking herself.

Now that I have her on the phone, (This is a bit of a long distance thing. Mores the pity.) we are talking about this an as autonomic nervious reaction, and she's in agreement with alot of the bits posted on this thread, but do keep them coming if you have more advice!
