as i'm sure many of you noticed, there is a huge and almost alarming number of female(and males on occasion) dominants popping up.

most often, they call themselves FinDommes, money mistress, etc.
this tends to often be linked and grouped up with ProDommes.

whats your opinion on this?

do you think there is a diffence between prodommes and fin dommes?

keep in mind what runs tread is about and post your thoughts!

I think there is nothing alarming about them at all. There people who get off on the idea of giving money to someone "better".

Those who are interested will pay. Those who aren't, won't. It's up to the person in question to be responsible with their money, the same as they would anywhere else.

Paying for a pro mistress I have done and I understand, I wanted to be dominated at the time I couldn't find anyone to do it for free so I paid a person to dominate me. It wasn't about the money I don't get off on opening my wallet I just simply had to pay for a service like any other.

However I don't understand the idea that a person would enjoy only ever being a walking atm for a person and that being there only reward. Financial doms dommes I often think I almost as bad as the scammers we endure on here and really are only after free money from stupid people. Perhaps I'm wrong and I don't understand this particular fetish and if anyone wants to give me some money well I wouldn't say no lol.

I truly do not understand diaper fetishes. Yet I am aware that people have them and it's a real desire. If someone gets off on giving someone money and they aren't hurting anyone, I don't think it's my place to judge or to prevent them from doing so.

I agree, and I hope I wasn't coming across as judgemental in my post. I'm just sceptical there seem to be online a lot of con artists. I can't help but wonder if finnacial dommination came about as a way to make easy money that happend to tap into a group of willing people. You have to admit the benefits are very great for the dom/domme with potentially very little effort. Still if it makes someone truly happy to give in this way then thats fair enough.

I hope some dom/dommes who offer this service and submissives who find it a kink for them, see this thread and post up. I would like to know more and read the views of people who practice this fetish.

I am not sure if I have this correct, but aren't they the same. Pro Domme charges for services. Financial Domme is doing the same, though if I am correct they expect tributes, or to be paid for their services to play.

You know i have no problem with a Pro Domme, and if I am correct a FinDomme is the basically the same. How can you say 1 is right and other is wrong? If a submissive needs are strong and they want to have a session and do not have a Dom, why not pay for their time and effort? Only thing I would find confusing is sending tributes to someone I haven't met, tome money then is just flushed down the toliet. If one has a findomme or dom for that matter, are they not paying for that Dom's time? I know myself that I would not seek either type of Male Dom. The reason behind that is I do not need to play, and service can be done in other avenues. But if I was different and needed to play I would pay for a pro male, not sure there are any. If i am in a Ds relationship and the Dom needed financial help i would help as much as I can, providing it is a relationship already. I don't know if this makes sense. I not against paying for services, and have heard enough discussions pro and con of paying a psychic/tarot reader. I get paid for my time, knowledge and 40 years of experience. I also give a lot for my price. I would assume anyone coming to me would check me out first. I also would assume people would check out the pro domme too first;

Seriously...

The difference as I see it is that a ProDomme will do whatever a client wants and charges them a set fee for it. A FinDomme gets what she wants from a sub, just like any other lifestyle Domme, and she includes tribute as one of those things that she wants.

I though I finalcial domme was a person who just expects a sub to pay them money but not get anything in return. i've seen it offered as a service on pro dommes websites and have seen people on here and alt offering it to. The joy for the sub is ment to be I think in the gining of money to maintain the lifestyle of the dom/domme they choose to give to.

I see paying a pro domme as the same as paying a plumber or other tradesman. I paid for a service, it wasn't having my heating fixed or a house built but domination, I went I got tied up, caned whatever and I paid the domme for the time and service she provided.

I agree with the fact that if I was in a relationship I would help out with money if needed. That goes beyond a d/s relationship. If a friend of mine is short of money and I can lend him some I will. But I don't think thats the same as either a pro domme or financial one.

thanks subrob for explaining what a findomme is. I guess if it is to maintain the lifestyle they seek, then it would be up to the submissive to accept or walk away. Personally i can understand the pro more then i can understand the tribute doms, but for me it would not be something to draw me in. there is a lot i am still learning and understanding or trying. Am very grateful Sir doesnt seek tributes or want them. Yes, giving because we want to is different matter. Contributing to the household bills etc is also a different metter in my opinion. If Sir needs help, and he will when I move in, i will help out with a bill. This has already been settled with us. I do not see this as a tribute just helping out. Especially with the economy as it is.

They get the humilation of turning over their money and they get the act of paying tribute.

Might not make sense to me. I also don't understand collectable plates.

All FinDommes are ProDommes, but not all ProDommes are FinDommes. "Professional" is usually defined by the act of receiving financial gain for a service, so any Domme who gets paid for what she does -- whether in gifts or cash -- qualifies as a pro. However, as I understand it, a FinDomme is one who caters to a highly specialized fetish. While the most common FinDomme stereotype is the bitchy princess flipping off the camera in her photos who uses men as her personal ATMs, if I understand correctly, some FinDommes go the extra mile and actually manage their clients' money for them. This type puts her client on a budget and requires him to beg her permission to spend money on anything but the basic necessities and the fee for her services. Although I can't say I genuinely understand the guy who gets off on being used as a wallet with legs and humiliated in the process, the second type of FinDomme seems to be something of a fetishized financial consultant and I sort of get it, even if it's not my kink.

You may have missed the point completely, rob. The thrill for the sub with the findomme in this particular Fetish is in being controlled and used. It is a form of slavery, in fact often called money slavery. In more extreme cases there is consensual blackmail where the sub gives over embarrassing photographs along with the address/phone number of his girlfriend or employer. He may then be required to provide amounts of money or to perform further embarrassing tasks, or both. I shudder at the thought of such self-destructive behavior but it is a fetish and it is out there. It seems to be in a class with drug addiction or alcoholism. This latter thought is just my guess. I don't know how strong the addiction may be.

Most of these financial dommes are just trying to make a quick online buck off gullible people. A pro domme has more scruples. You can meet them, have a real session, get your money's worth.

With the economy in such dire straits it would be only normal to watch history repeat itself. People trying to con someone to make a buck. It always has been and will be again. It puzzles me though why people think this is so new. It is just history repeating itself, but with more access through internet dating services. Even the vanilla sites are having this.

Do people really need to be told to be aware daily? I guess so. They use to be called the town cryers. They would go up and down the roads warning people about people. I am sure it was just as annoying back then, but it is nice to see things never change. Chuckles, and those doing the crying are the ones that got tempted or almost. People need to learn to think for themselves and be responsible for their actions, instead of going up and down the roads, internet roadways, to warn everyone. That too hasn't change in our world, not taking responsibility.

for me, a PD is a Dom/Domme that is paid for their company/service of a BDSM nature.

i am a ProDomme, but i also am a lifestyle Domme. I have personal subs that do not pay me.

as far as recieving payment is concerned, why WOULDN'T i want to get paid for something that i love to do anyway?

double whammy for me. lol

with my expirence with some, not all, FinDommes i that they tend to have the oh-so sophisticated attitude of "fuck you, pay me", which i really can't stand.

the sub is a PERSON- not an ATM.

i make it a point to develop a relationship with all of my subs. relationships go two-ways. I don't do the whole, "give me everything of monetary value that you have and go away until i want more".

doesn't appeal to me personally.
