Haven't tried this little butte yet.

A butte (pronounced /ˈbjuːt/) is a conspicuous isolated hill with steep, often vertical sides and a small, relatively flat top.

How does that pertain to hot dog?

maybe this hot dog tastes like dirt from a butte?

I'm with the majority here. To say that picture is unappetizing is an understatement. That sauce honestly looks like someone squeezed some vomit out of a pastry bag.

As the daughter of a butcher, I am well aware of what is (or isn't) in a hot dog. Know what Scrapple is, too. I've been known to enjoy both. Around here, we call the hot dog vendor's delights "dirty water dogs." Sounds terrible, but they definately are the yummiest.

When I showed this to my french roomate he just looked at me and said "You understand the word blaspheme?"

Je suis d'accord avec lui.

Moi aussi mon cheri. And I *adore* fois gras. But this is a bastardization rven by American standards. ! Highjack: I miss you Kittin!

Me too. And I cant blame it on France. I can blame it on french technique, though!

It was overturned. Rediculous, the idea of a city counsel trying to legislate how you kill for food.

Really, it was the sale of it. Not the consumtion. Also the surrounding suburbs were not involved. I was able to eat it in my town. Plus, the restaurants who sole Fois gras started offering it complimentary, i believe.

With gang crime out of control in parts of Chicago they were worried about that. Glad to see it was over turned..

I hate to admit it, but I'm not a foie gras fan. It's the texture, or lack of it. Same reason I don't like creme caramel. No texture.

However the menu of the doggery offers fries cooked in duck fat. Despite what my arteries are saying, I would so love to try them.
