Simple carbs are bad. Complex ones with lots of fiber like apples, sweet potatoes, oatmeal are good. The fiber ties up the energy in the food and releases it slowly, like gas getting to the carburetor at a steady rate. You eat junk and all the sugar dumps into the blood stream at once. That's bad. Try portion controlled snacks of complex carbs and protein. An ounce of nuts and a banana. Half a sandwich made on whole wheat bread with some raw veggies.
