I missed this place when I was disallowed from posting.
I, too, plan to be here for the duration.

I admit that I am baffled by the number of socks and disruptive posts allowed, especially in the context of the great number of bans during the reign of the 'Red Queen'.

I hope someone cares enough to get this forum put back together.

I admit I am completely baffled, who on earth banned you? I never saw you say anything remotely offensive

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/6/2016 5:52:30 PM)

I admit I'm surprised by most of those I heard were banned. Especially, AngelikaJ.
I admit that I don't come to this (or any site) very often but I tend to enjoy myself when I do and hope it hangs in there during this latest spat of issues.
I admit the current sub par level of socks is disappointing.

I seem to have missed the rule of Mod 3 during travels, I am so glad I did, wow, what a complete and utter **** All you did is brought up an issue, s/he seems to be the one with the god complex. Now I understand why people refer in the most vivid terms to that "reign"

WickedsDesire -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/7/2016 3:58:39 AM)

angelikaJ me too - never did find out her identity..but to be fair I have a tendency, even way back, to protest against socks (bulk are married fantasists-dangerous what they say at times, gabillion stolen images, heinous bad caricatures spreading poison gleaned from abominable websites, or their kindred’s on forums who talk pants (and I mean the dangerous stuff &made up stuff)..I don’t really think mods anywhere care about the aforementioned...remember each When I log on my home page persistently shows me more fake accounts than genuine.,,sure some of them are funny, some just plain dangerous.

why bring her up anyhoos –twere the disparity of her crazed axe wielding that got me, at one point I thought it was going to be just sock accounts, fake profiles, bad caricatures left, talking pants and socks

I mainly see the olde regulars here and there, and would imagine genuine newbies to be scared away..shame really...applies to all sites. I have tried to work out over the years why no-one cares I think it boils down to ad-revenue. I can come up with no other viable reason

It wasn't just that I brought up an issue but I tried to bring it up in a helpful way.

And unfortunately, s/he felt attacked.

WickedsDesire -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/7/2016 4:58:31 AM)

Sites can be difficult to moderate I should have probably made that clear. Dangerous loons for sure - but who decides, and I believe in free speech myself. Should a liar moderated? what kind of lie... and so on. basically I am saying its not as quite clear cut as many think.

shiftyw -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/7/2016 6:39:30 PM)

I admit I got PREAPPROVAL ON A MORTGAGE!
I admit I squealed and I can't sleep because I'm so excited.

Cell -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/7/2016 7:17:40 PM)

Definitely congrats!
Here's some of the main things that I look at before even considering a house, they may be helpful for you, maybe there's something in the list you hadn't thought of.

-Is it too close to train line?
-Is it in close proximity or downwind from sewage treatment?
(Find wind pattern history for the area.)
-Is it on a too heavilly trafficked road?
-What is the flood history of the area, is the house in the flood plain?
-Is it close to anything that would have a high break-in/crime rate?
(In Australia that unfortunately includes many indigenous settlements.)
-Another thing that's not so important but something to be aware of is, is the house in close proximity to orchards or farmland where crop dusting or spraying occurs? (Not a big concern but sometimes you get it blowing your way.)

Usually if the house is cheap down here, it has one of the above issues.
I'd actually be interested in any other hidden issues that people look for when buying a house.

shiftyw -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/7/2016 7:26:06 PM)

I admit- living in northern rural NH most of those things are not problems.
I admit the most common problem here is Internet, cell phone coverage.
I admit heating is an issue.
I admit age of the home too.

I have two parents and a boyfriend holding my hands through all of this so hopefully between all that we won't miss anything...

Blonderfluff -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/8/2016 8:17:03 AM)

I admit, shifty, if you need anything at all, you know where to find me. I've been handling closings for many years!! And. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

One of mine was to be away from schools, otherwise you do tend to get traffic jams and a lot of noise in the UK

I admit, next time I (we) buy, it will not be a home with well water. Well water is on my veto list now.

Wait. Dammit. I don't get to veto, do I?

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/9/2016 6:52:30 PM)

I admit, hurray for deep tissue massages and chocolate brownies.

ETA I admit the above is somewhat contradictory to my leap year post :)

I admit I don't fuss much about enjoying things that aren't exactly healthy. So long as I'm active and keep things in balance - enjoying chocolate brownies IS a healthy choice. Ha! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

LadyPact -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/10/2016 1:06:02 AM)

I admit I had an awesome time at the club tonight.

Both of the s-types are home safe and sound. They got a bite on the way home. (I hope they had some protein with their sweets.) Did the proper thing and messaged me so I was sure they were ok.

I admit, they both have instructions to do next day check in. They will.

I admit, my play life is pretty f^cking awesome.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/10/2016 9:55:32 AM)

I admit not a single pound lost in th last 3 weeks :(
I admit I just spent 250 bucks on groceries.
I admit the two could be related lol.

One thing we almost missed when buying a place was electrical outlets. In this day and age where we have so much electronic gear, you have to make sure you have enough outlets to plug them all in where you need them.

And...congratulations!!!! You are going to just love owning your own place.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: I Admit It I........ (1/10/2016 3:36:34 PM)

I admit my former house guests kids seem to like hanging out with Kay and I.
I admit her 8 year old son comes by every other day and sits at the table drinking his coffee (mostly milk) and spends an hour or two either chatting away or exercising with us.
I admit I don't know why a kid would want to hang out with a couple old ladies, but it's so damn cute.
I admit we started dipping into our slush fund and try to find little jobs he can do for us for a little spending money.
I admit he proudly told my grandson, "I work for your Nana!"

I admit word got out and her 13 year old came down looking for "work".
I admit I was happy to pay him and his friend $10 to shovel snow hahaha.
