Ummmmm, trying to be delicate here, both out of respect for sensibilities & out of respect for the forums guidelines regarding 'spoilers' . . . . . Ever hear that saying about those who like law & sausage prolly oughta avoid knowing about the making of either? I'm the kinda pervert that's jus' gotta know, even tho' I like . . . . . Actually, all joshing aside, it's not so much that sausage is special, it's that meat processing produces a side odor that's rather indelible & full of rotted flesh smells, & on an industrial scale even more so. Amongst other things, the rotting of meat is generally a regular part of the processing into food, in a controlled manner. To allow pork, beef, & etc to 'age' renders the flesh more delectable . . . . . . For more details about how horribly wrong sausage making can go, consult Upton Sinclair's 'The Jungle', otherwise, 'nuff said . . . .. . quote:
ORIGINAL: Jill805 As to the smell thing, the article states there was a sausage factory in the neighborhood - DemonKia WTF - Just what are they putting into sausages these days!
