DiannaVesta -> Pony Boys & Girls (3/8/2006 5:48:35 AM)

I have a 30 acre farm with lots of pasture, nice trails through the woods & a barn with stables. Back in my old “Hell Fire” (NYC) days I met up with a few pony boys. I really enjoyed this.

Anyone here know anything about this? For instance how do you get a head harness that fits? Also what about those lightweight small carriages? Can I use any type?

I don’t know anything about this but really interested so any information you can share with me would be great.

Thanks,

GDV

Here is a place to start, it has all kinds of info, and helps you design what your looking for with links to places to buy if necessary. I hope this helps you out.

Custom work some ideas to consider before you buy off the rack

Your Very Welcome, if you need more resources let me know, but I would suggest checking out the other collar sites. There are numerous ones out there. Best of luck to you.

Yes thanks I will. I would love to know more about the mindset of a pony. It excites me but in a strange way I am not familuar with yet but hope to explore this.

I would love to hear from some pony slaves; their thoughts and feelings.

I sent you a PM for more info.

Slipstreme -> RE: Pony Boys & Girls (3/8/2006 10:34:55 AM)

my play partner and I are also interested in pony play. For the most part, what we've been doing is looking at what is out there and figuring out how to replicate it. Basically, we plan on making our stuff. *grins* Yay, more art projects!

Can't wait to have him tacked up and ready to go though.

MasterBuckEye sent me an excellent link, however the carts are made overseas and the postage alone would be the price of a cart. I'm sure there are people here in the states doing this.

Still, I'm hoping a pony boy or girl will show up to share there experiences, thoughts and feelings with us.

lucky's one bit of experience here is that lightweight would be necessary as pulling even the standard two-wheel buggy cart was really too much for this sub when going up any appreciable hill, though it works well enough on the level. Of course ymmv with a stronger slave! :)

Best wishes with Your plans!

Try looking up sulky in a search engine. They are great for horses or humans

Thanks I'll check it out. It doesn't seem like it would be that much difference excpet for the weight.

LOL... lotsa folks interested in ponies!  I just posted this on a thread here called PonyPlay:

Mark Anthony, of the WestCoast PonyPlayers group, as well as the pony site www.myponygirl.com is presenting “Playing with the Ponies” this year at Thunder (www.thunderinthemountains.com/), if you can make it this year.

I've seen both male and female ponies here...

After reading Anne Rampling’s (aka Anne Rice) book…was it Exit to Eden?...what’s not to like about pony play?    OMG!!!

A local harness track will have used sulky's for sale Ma'am. Harness is realtively easy to make with rudimentary leather working skills. I have repaired & modified a lot of the tack for my horses.

I am doubt you would remember me as it was a very long time ago. I met you at hell fire when I was with a Lady who went by the name Rana of Gor . I was her pony at that time. I have been one ever since and it is what got me into designing and creating pony gear as there was none to be found at that time. I have also taken saddle and harness classes and have become certified in those fields which allows me to create pony gear that not only looks great but is strong enough to handle any pony boy or girl.

the mind set for me depends on who I am with at the time. I do teach alot of classes and the mind is in work mode then, and when I am at public events even just playing my mind is not totally into pony thoughts. more like how I look etc for every one else. one on one is where my head can go very deep into pony space where I do not even understand human words, only physical jesters and tones.

My Al is a pony.  We've participated in quite a few pony play-times and events.  A friend who is also a pony gave Al his old set of headgear.  It came from here - http://affordablebondagegear.com/   It's infinitely adjustable, so will fit anyone.

He's pulled a number of different kinds of carts and wagons.  Most have been made specifically for human ponies, with features that make them easier for human ponies to pull.  The less work he has to do, the longer I can ride.  :)  We messed around one weekend with a cart that some friends bought for their biohorses, but it was pretty heavy and the shafts were farther apart than were really comfortable for human ponies.

Al got to be a riding pony at an event a few years ago.  The gear had crutches for the arms so that he could be on all-fours but not on his knees with a saddle on his back and be ridden like a biohorse.  He loved that.  He was giving rides for a couple of hours.  I was happy that I was able to ride.  I'm no tiny thing and thought that I'd be too much for him but my Al's a big, sturdy guy and gave me a nice, long ride.

We'll be working on a cart and some gear for him this summer.  We got lucky at a flea market last fall and got a nice pair of wagon wheels and an English saddle that fits him pretty well.  [:D]
