I know that as a Dom, such as slip-up never happened to me (mainly because my main fields of interests are far from the most common hard limits).  But when I am scening, it is important for me to be in control of not only the sub, but also myself.  I would have a lot of trouble forgiving myself for doing something like this even by accident, and end up unable to scene again with the person could cause quite an emotionnal scar.

but if act was intentionnal, yeah stay away from that person.

Not just that, but it's also an opportunity to see how different people feel about it.  Some would accept the new play offer and others wouldn't, for different reasons.  It's always interesting to see how various people think about the subject.

It's a topic that's up for discussion in general.  I'd much rather see people who start threads come back into them rather than post the original and split.

I'm trying to imagine why my presence here would inspire a snarky post.....but for the life of me LP,I just don't get it?

I'm obviously missing something here in the late night hour.  I'll do the best that I can.

My first thought is, if anyone thought that My last comment was snarky, honey, you haven't seen anything yet.  LOL.

Personally, I'm looking at the broader perspective.  A violation of a hard limit can mean a lot of different things to different people and such things can be seen in a completely different light depending on past experiences.

Now, to be very plain, I'm a top (in the play only sense).  I've had a lot of wonderful encounters in life.  Some of them were also not so wonderful.  I've also made mistakes.  There were times that I fucked up.  Like any other top out there, I've mislaid a strike.  I've had accidents.  I'm not 100% perfection when it comes to S/m play.

From the other side of the coin, My accident could have been someone else's breaking of a hard limit.  Not that it was intentionally done, but let's say that it happened.  Does that make Me a bad top who should never be able to play again?  Depending on what I did, and My motivations behind it, where do people fall on the decision making?

These kinds of things fascinate Me.  Where people out there find the line between where they lay their answers and what led them to that choice.

Dear LP,perhaps the way I snipped the quotes led to the confusion....yours wasn't the post I found snarky.....it was a preceding post that led to our exchange that I found a little off.Sorry for the confusion.

No issue at all, mike.  I hope you're enjoying your day.
