Oh, and take PayPal. The only way I will go.

ETA: Be truthful, give yourself a dollar or 2 for handling and don't use a used pizza box for shipping.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html#reserve Check this out. I wondered why no vendors did "Reserve" auctions. There is a $2 charge!!!

Man the fees add up. Pay pals .30 just to get a payment AND around 2.9%. being that ebay MAKES you use paypal- they really ought to be less monopolistic about fees.

Yeah reserve auctions are only good for expensive things. If I were you, I would just go to rummage sales and thrift shops and look for practical things to sell. Like power tools, sewing machines, etc.... If you got familiar with something physical, you could make okay money doing that. I don't do that, but have scouted rummage sales before, and some had stuff I know I could have made money on.

We mostly sale stuff like that, mostly practical boring stuff. It seems that stuff is pretty solid.

We pretty much exclusively sale fixed price or start the auctions at .99. We generally only list something at .99 start if we know it will get bid up, as in have experience and knowledge of the demand for that item. It's really not worth selling something for a final price of .99 cents.

If you are selling electronic download stuff. I'd simply sell it for at least 2.00 fixed price, more if you can get it. because you are going to be pay .35 to list, then like .25 FVF then .30 cents plus 2.9 percent(.06) paypal. So, essentially a 1.00 of that 2.00 gets sucked in fees, it is better the more expensive the item you are selling, but the e-book market is more about quantity than quality. You'll have to sale 100's of different e-books, to make helpful money in that market. Finding what does or doesn't sale is the only real question.

Like I said though, I'm not an expert in that area, I mostly sale physical stuff. If you got time to go to rummage sales, I think you'll do better that route, and just become an expert in one or a few types of items.

What words. Gosh really I wonder why you ask, this should be simple.

Big lot, crate buy, one chance. Closeout, getem while we gotem. Never see a deal like this again. Must see, minimum bid only $____. Quantity purchases welcome as long as upply lasts. Actual factory refurbs, not from a beer joint in Mexico. One time and one time only sale. Once these are gone, they are all gone, except I am keeping a couple. They are great. Company got bought out ny larger competitor, last chance. Assembly line has been dismantled and is on it's way to Chins for the Honda plant. I cannot stress this enough, once these are gone, they are all gone. (except for the hundred milion units that will ship out of Guatamala in a month or so)

Actually I am surprised that you asked. Taking it to another level we could have a fourth annual pre-fire, going out of business sale. You can say whatever you want in today's legal climate. I could sell you a radiator cap for your car with a guarantee that it will also brush your teeth. No worries mate, a good lawyer will take care of it all. But then on eBay you kmight not want to go that far.

Yea, I think at the moment ebay is really not doing all that great. Just look at the listings, not many people are buying, everyone is selling but no buyers. That is why eBay is giving 5 free listing a month and discounts to buyers, they are trying, but it's day has passed. Craigslist is where I sell something if I want to sell it without being charged

I stopped buying on ebay because at one time it was just your average person selling stuff, now you have all these corps in there, everyone selling the same wholesale crap

I list a few paddles every now and then, but sales from ebay have dropped big time and their stock shows it

I'd recommend starting a blog to promote your newsletter and sell it from there. You can get a free blog through google. https://www.blogger.com/start

Your blog title, description, and copy should be rich in key words. Once you have your blog set up, go to pingoat to ping some blog servers and bring traffic to your site. http://pingoat.com/

...I dont think it is the economy. Not with ebay. No. It could be that they keep pissing off people with the fees.

If you think of it- most likely every household has say $100 they could sell and buy some one elses $100 with.

As to silver coins- I can tell you the fair priced ones are grabbed up right away.

Alot of listings are incomplete or fuzzy. An example 25 Kennedy halfs. I asked what years they were. The ans I got was after 1964. Well that does not tell me if they are silver. 65-69 is 40% silver.

I noticed if one has 20 listings people tend to look more.   It also seems like one HAS to have a loss leader maybe a few of them. items you know will not make a profit- but draw people.

The $2 comment is about right.   So far I think I am even. Both ebay and paypal fees- and 2 bidders who accidentally bid so I still have to pay the sell price. and one that simply decided not to pay. So right now- it is break even.

Yeah eBay has jumped the shark. They're corrupt, have jacked their fees tenfold since they started, own PayPal which they force sellers to accept (and nothing else is allowed), and so on. Things just don't sell there anymore. The buyers are even moving on.

Buying silver? Good move, very good move. Get as much physical silver as you can. :)

Thank you! Nearly every $ I have is in silver- a tad in gold and platinum. My mom said- I freeze all winter by not running the heat so as to buy silver. That is a tad much- but Silver is the deal of a lifetime- even at $17 which is 70% higher then when I started stacking nearly one year ago at $10. The current price would need to be $20-$25 to pay costs of mining it. China, India and Russia all telling its people to buy silver and gold. Americans only 3% own such.

It is not necessarily that I will get rich- it could only be a matter of eating... 6000 years gold and silver have been a measure of wealth.

You can file to get your fees back for incomplete transactions, as in they'll give you all your final value fees back, if the buyer backs out.

So, essentially if you are selling an e-book fixed price you would list 10 or whatever number in the one listing(still cost .35 per month whether you list 1 or 1000 available in a stingle listing). As in pay for one fixed price listing for .35 that contains 10 items for sell. You don't want to list a 1000, as for some reason listings that give the illusion even if thin of limited availability sale better. So, if someone bought one of your 10 e-books by mistake, the other 9 would still be available, and if you familiarize yourself with the cancel transaction link above you'll get all fees back for dead beat bidders. You shouldn't lose money on e-books for bad buyers.
