Thanks, elegantcdgoddess :)

However, I don't perceive these comments as judgements, I believe they were trying to help me focusing on the curios case of a Dom who's living with his parents. I appreciate it, even the harshness.

I hope you didn't perceive my own last post to you on this thread to be 'harsh'. Apparently I misunderstood something you said. I interpreted one of your posts as fearing your parents would punish you if they found out you had subscribed to a paid porn site.

You went on to mention that any time your parents' have punished you, that you've made them regret it. I have no way of knowing what that statement means, but I did spend a half hour or so pondering over it.

At any rate, the main gist of my last post to you was to point out that you, admittedly, have never taken care of your own life. Your parents are still handling all of your own affairs. My suggestion was that before you can expect to be in 'control' in a D/s or M/s relationship is that you must first know how to take care of yourself independently of your parents.

Given your circumstances and your explanations for remaining with your parents, it's going to take you a bit more time to get into the kind of dynamic you seem to really want. Seems to me though that you want it enough to wait things out. Good for you! And again, best of luck.

Having been to Turkey, which has a much different parent/child dynamic, I feel it is a wee bit harsh of all of us to give advice which is purely based on how we do things in the US or UK.

Think of the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and how Tula and Nick were treated by their parents to understand a little bit more of what this fellow experiences, though I have the feeling that his parents are wealthy enough to have servants perform the household tasks. In time, he will take his place as his parent's heir, and he will naturally fall into whatever lifestyle they enjoy.

Expecting him to take care of his own bills, his laundry, etc, is like asking Prince William to do the same. It simply isn't something that will ever be expected of him. In no way does it detract from his ability to be a Dom...he will just be one with a different style of life from the rest of us.

Though I will say that perhaps a year abroad after you complete your degree might be in order, SirLost. Learning to take care of your own needs, and being self-sufficient will be invaluable lessons. Interestingly, the school of hard knocks is what makes us stronger and better able to handle life. For instance, many of us have been screwed over by NOT reading the fine print of contracts, which makes us very careful to understand what we are signing up for before we push the "I AGREE" button. Had you been raised in this manner, you would have read the fine print, and realized that the billing would be done anonymously...and this thread would never have happened.

I am not saying that the way you have been raised is wrong, I am only saying that there are many, many experiences that you haven't had yet that could perhaps make you a better person, and an even better Dom when you are ready to take on that role fully.
