I soooooo want one of those strollers now....do they make 'em for multiple kittehs?  I think that's the only way Squeaks and Boo might think about going outside.

Mooch ran out on me as usual tonight, and I let him wander for a few minutes.  The little gray kitten came out from under the bushes, and when I came back to get Mooch, he was nose to nose with the little guy.  Didn't so much as blink at him.  So that's a good sign, because he's probably the one I'll end up with.  Still trying to get my neighbor to take the other two.  I just can't do 7 of them, 5 is probably pushing it.  The little guys are up and around now, still a tad wobbly, but they are exploring more and more of the big world.  The gray one is eating wet food, the other two don't show any interest in it yet.  I'll try to get pics...they are just soooo CYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

LD4, you have c-mail.

s2s read it and back at ya LOL

yea when we cook dinner we have to make sure we cook enough that mystic gets some too because like on steak night we have to cut her off pieces of meat to devour while we give sasha and now blondie the grissle pieces LOL :D

right now after a long walk and some playing blondie is crashed and much to mystics relief she can crash comfortably while she figures out more ways to not only taunt and play with blondie but excape routes too LOL

This is so true, Beerbug. My animals are never allowed table scraps. I'm not sure that da Boyz would recognize people food as food. I used to give Mr. Cat very very tiny bites or let him lick a nearly clean plate, but that was all.

My ex-husband had a long-haired toy chihuahua who was supposed to weigh 3-4 lbs, but from giving her "treats" every time he ate, she got to be 8 lbs. It got so that she couldn't walk comfortably & he kept having to take her to the vet because her poophole would get blocked with feces. She died pretty young. It was really sad to see her like that. While I was with him, she was trim & happy & ran a lot.

well ill have you both know that our pets are as healthy as can be and they get the table scraps as far as a nearly empty plate or something like the grease from us cooking put in their food which by the way helps lube the poop hole if they have been constipated FYI. my husband has never had any pets that had issues with health because of the treats from the table.

Mystic just slicked herself in here to get on the back of my chair and debate window watching or sitting and making sure mommy does homework and now is growling and going to the bed to laydown and relax for a bit i guess LOL

Nobody said they weren't healthy now. Future problems were brought up. Mr. Cat used to be allowed table scraps. Then he almost died from bladder stones. He was put on a special diet & I was told to not allow him to have anything else. He lived quite healthily for another 10 years when he died at the age of 21 from cancer. My friend's cats all died young from cardiomyopathy due to being allowed to eat stuff they shouldn't have been given. They appeared quite healthy until they weren't.

I don't like to take those risks anymore. I don't skimp on the cat food I feed da Boyz & they don't get anything but that food. I'd like them to live to be old farts too. But, whatever.

Miss Sophia caught a real live mouse this morning, first ever! I'm happy for her and horrified at the same time.

ill have to remember to watch for that when i take mystic in for check ups. we tend to pick and choose what we give them and how much based on their size and one thing i dont do is substitute the scraps for their normal food. they always get heaping bowls of food that lasts them a few weeks to eat and such and we also put garlic powder NOT garlic salt on their food and it helps with the fleas, ticks, and worms and keeps them even more heart healthy. heck sasha is going on 12 years old.

now mystic is investigating what daddy made to eat while blondie is passed out at my feet.

I'm not a big believer in cats eating human food, either. That's why mine get only a few small tidbits for treats and that's it. The bulk of their diet comes from catfood.

My little snots think people food is beneath them!  Unless it's greasy fried chicken!  I don't eat alot of that, so they don't get it either.  However, they do have some wierd tasts is what the will eat.  Smooch like Cheez-it crackers, and the dust from Cheetos.  Squeaks has a sweet tooth, even tho I always thought cats can't taste sweet things.  She licks the bowl of ice cream when I'm done.  She also loves lemon and butterscotch pudding.  KB and Boo eat pretty much just their cat food...Boo does love his shrimp tho.  He'll try to hook them out of hte bowl when I have some....he doesn't want to wait for me to peel them.

Our Saints got table scraps in the form of  meat scraps and veggies, they were pretty healthy back then, but food wasn't treated with all the crap then that it is today.  Our male hated peas with a passion, and while he'd hoover down his food, he'd pick out each and every pea in the bowl....which was no mean feat, considering that we mixed the food tegether and dished it out.  His bowl would be clean, with the exception of a small pile of peas in the bottom.  He must've had magic taste buds!

Mr. Cat had a serious Jones for Wheat Thins. One time I bought some & I was sitting on the couch eating them. He practically tried to eat it from my mouth!! And he was really good about not getting into food that I put on the floor. But this night, I closed the box, set it on the floor & went into the bathroom. When I came back, he'd shoved himself into the box & was gorging on them! And he weighed 18 lbs, so that was no mean feat! After that, if I brought Wheat Thins into the house, I hid them from him.

After he died, we adopted Molly from the SPCA. Molly was the tiniest little female tuxedo. She'd been found on the streets with a litter of babies. One night after she moved in with us, we were having Mexican food with really hot salsa. She was begging for some, so we let her have a taste. Turned out she loved the hot sauce!! We decided she'd been on the streets in the Mission District & eating out of the garbage cans behind the Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood. LOL

Cashie is stalking the voiceless chirpy.

Amos is lounged on the desk, by teh window.

My kids SOMETIMES get canned tuna (water, not oil), and even MORE rarely get tidbits of cheese or frenchfries.

They both slurp the tuna, but it is interesting to watch who will snarf the cheese/fries and who wont each time.. so far, it's a toss up
