But I do laugh at the people who find it hard to believe that my cats are leash trained.  A few have gotten whiplash doing the double take!

Ha!  I tried to just get him to adjust to a harness so I could bring him out on the patio with me.  I let him sniff and poke at it to his heart's content, then put it on him.  He stood verrrry still.  Then very slowly he started walking backwards.  It was hilarious.  When I took it off he bit the clasp and broke it.

I'm too afraid to walk him.  I have terrifying visions of a dog off leash having at him.  I'm so paranoid with him.

I'm the same way, NV... although, after Cashie's little adventure the other day, I am reminded that he still needs to be chipped, and they BOTH are getting collars (Amos has worn one before..oughta be interesting to see how Cashie reacts!)

Oh yes. Viktor is definitely chipped and collared. I never let him out, but it's for a "what-if" situation.  Plus, I like hearing his little bell chime, telling me where he is.  Probably drives him crazy though lol.

I put a halter & leash on Mr. Cat when we moved from Portland, OR to San Francisco. He was really good about it. I got him out of the truck for walks a couple of times, then we had lunch & he laid right by the table. However, when lunch was finished, he headed North again. Just about slipped his halter & headed off into bushes. Apparently he'd had enough of this trip & was heading back home! I put him back into the truck for the duration of the trip. LOL

ETA: A friend was here & bought a gallon jug of something to drink. I gave the plastic thingie to Booga & he LOVES it!!! He's played with it for 3 days now. And he hardly ever plays!! I need to find someone to give me more of those things, since I don't drink the stuff that is packaged like that.

Purring like crazy, almost to the point of sneezing!

I have a Maine Coon... that means brushes and combs up the wazoo, even a "Furminator," but this thing is amazing:

The pic shows the side you hold...

Thick rubber tips on the other side pick up fur like a magnet, and massage him while they're doing it. He fucking loves it!

ZoomGroom

Also for dogs. Hell, I even think I'd like it.

hmmmmm....I'll have to look for one of those things.....I have one Maine Coon, but the other 2 shed just as much!  They will let me message them anytime, but as soon as I try to comb them, they get all pissy about it.  KB for some reason doesn't seem to shed that much.

Linnea, those little rings are on water bottles too.....at least they are on mine.  Mine will also play with them for hours......I think they like them cuz htey can pick them up and hide them from each other.  They also like the hair thingies for hte same reason.  Smooch is the "hider" of portable toys....one day I caught him hiding three of them at once.  Talk about a mouthful!

Right now he's batting a toy mouse around the place.

I came home tonight, though, and found my curtains (and rod) toppled to the ground.  Thank you, Vitkor!

Angel tried to pull a fast one on me earlier this evening, but it backfired. She heard me getting my keys and purse to go to a dinner meeting, then positioned herself to sneak out the door when I opened it to leave the the house. As she was ready to dart out the door, she saw her unwanted suitor, Dusty, on the front porch, turned around and ran right back inside! Poor Dusty was so excited when he caught a glimpse of her, but disheartened about being rebuffed.

This is the chair I use at my computer, its a simple folding one.  KB was asleep on it first, and Mooch decided he wanted to sleep w/him.  Gives me a crick in my neck just seeing it!

And this was later.....same chair, but Mooch had it first, and KB wanted to be close to him.

Tori decided that since Litter Box and Laundry Basket have the same first letters, they can be treated the same.

Amos is alternating between headbutting my hand while I play Bejeweled, and smacking ME (not my..sheesh) about my head and shoulders with her tail.

Cashie is skittering all over the place, chasing and hunting the now-chirpless chirpy...

Checked on my little kittens outside.....put a bit of mooshy food down, the gray one showed a bit of interest, the other two, not so much.  They are so adorable when they hiss and spit at me.  Mama is still nursing them. Apparently, they aren't as old as I thought they were.  My neighbor said they were born around the end of August.  That would explain why they are so wobbly.  I've almost got her talked into two of them, and I'll probably end up keeping the third one....I am SUCH a sucker!  I do know that her dog Sugar would be thrilled...she just loves kittehs!  She always tries to get KB to play with her when they are both outside.  The little ones are right next to the porch, so apparently, Sugar has been keeping an eye on them, peeking over the edge.  And Mama knows she won't hurt them, because Queenie said that Mama saw Sugar there and didn't panic or run to cover them like she did the last time.  The biggest threat the Sugar poses is possibly stepping on them.

They are exploring the bushes at night, they sort of wobble around, and play a bit.  OMG....they are just so CYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!  I just don't want to take them too early from Mama.  Then, it's off to get spayed for Mama, Sissy and Toby.
