*actually, I think he is part moose, LOL*

He also believes that by staring at doors, they will magically open and allow him passage to the outside.

i've been quilting, and had laid out some of my fabric pieces.
Needing to leave the room for some forgotten reason, i came back to find this.

Earlier this evening there was a knock on my door. Not expecting anyone, I peeped through the peep hole. Viktor, as if on cue, stood between my legs and stared at the door.

I continued peeping, waiting for the young woman with the clip board to go away (I never answer the door if I don't know the person), and Viktor, who couldn't see from between my legs, ran over to the kitchen table and jumped over onto the kitchen window sill (curtains were drawn) and stared at her until she left, too.

When I stepped away from the door, he ran over to me mewing, "Who was that, Mom??" (my interpretation, of course).

Later, It was time to remove all his little mice toys from under the fridge (with a long narrow stick and a flashlight).  As I crouched on the kitchen floor looking under the fridge, he crouched at the bottom of the fridge and poked his nose under.  He always does this when I retrieve the mice - he gets all excited and pounces each one as it flings out.  There were 22 tonight!

My daughter had a cat who loved those super-balls & she would sometimes lose them behind the wall unit in my bedroom which had a space just slightly larger than a super ball. She would come to me, meow, go back to where she'd last seen her ball & then come back to me & meow, rinse & repeat until I got up & got it out for her.

To prove my theory that cats will do what they know is wrong right in front of you, Booga laid down on the dining table & went to sleep. I noticed him & when I yelled, "WTF are you thinking???" he leaped off the table so fast he was just an orange streak.

Misty is still upset about having been boarded! She wailed much of last night and today (and is in fact wailing again at this moment). I'm surprised she hasn't given herself a sore throat. I hope the next time I need to go out of town the sitter is available so she can stay in her home!

Angel is doing fine. The employees at my vet's where I boarded her were crazy about her and I'm sure she ate up being doted upon. Misty wasn't particularly friendly to them, they said.

^ Beautiful kitty, pahunkboy! There's just something about tiger-marked cats...they always seem to have such loving personalities.

Lilly-I wanted to say that but I was afraid of offending the folks with monochrome kittehs...

In another thread about kittehs being allowed to roam (mine aren't), I posted some pics of the cattery I built for the boys. Some folks asked about it on the other side, so if anyone's thinking about doing one of these and wants some ideas here are the pics:

Lockable screen door for people's entry. Cats enter and exit through window in utility room and use the oak branches to climb up to their perches (and also to scratch on!)
