Earlier this evening there was a knock on my door. Not expecting anyone, I peeped through the peep hole. Viktor, as if on cue, stood between my legs and stared at the door. I continued peeping, waiting for the young woman with the clip board to go away (I never answer the door if I don't know the person), and Viktor, who couldn't see from between my legs, ran over to the kitchen table and jumped over onto the kitchen window sill (curtains were drawn) and stared at her until she left, too. When I stepped away from the door, he ran over to me mewing, "Who was that, Mom??" (my interpretation, of course). Later, It was time to remove all his little mice toys from under the fridge (with a long narrow stick and a flashlight). As I crouched on the kitchen floor looking under the fridge, he crouched at the bottom of the fridge and poked his nose under. He always does this when I retrieve the mice - he gets all excited and pounces each one as it flings out. There were 22 tonight!
