It's the way I was brought up. We needed cats for the barn, with 1 or 2 in the house. Dogs was for the house protection, with a couple for herding. What we hated was the strays because assholes think that it is okay to drop their animals. Sooner or later, coyotes will get a hold of them or turn feral, which means disturbing the herds (often killing calfs) We would see a dog with a broken limb and guess what we have to do...put it out of his misery. I know what you're saying. If the cat in question has FIV or Feline leukemia, they should be put down. But abortion, especially if the cat is almost at the end of pregnancy, should not happen. It she is at the beginning semester or if the cat has a history of miscarriages let mother Nature decide.
