omg, Lucy.. isnt he though?????

Avid.. having an RHPS party at home is better than at the theater (assuming you're not trying to watch it on a 26" screen),,,,
The home party allows .. fun.. that isnt acceptable at ANY theater that doesnt host XXX movies

Did I go????

Let's do the time warp again!  LOL.

No, it didn't influence Me a bit, but it sure did just bring back some good memories.

Yup, that's me. I think the only thing that really influenced me from the movie was the really nice sparkly corset-vest Dr. Frankenfurter was wearing. *chuckles*

Thanks for all the replies. I'd like to clarify. The movie itself didn't really influence me it was the "event" that impacted me mostly. See, where I linve it was a "midnight" movie every week. There was a group of people that actually acted out the movie in the theater as the movie was playing on the screen. Well parts of it any way. Audience participation was an important part of it. Before the movie actually started there was a bunch of shenanigans sacrificing virgins (first timers to the event) and what not. Usually some one got naked and a few people got spanked. That's why I was asking if it influenced peoples kink.

The Doctor introduced me to my "bi" side that i knew not that i had - and for that i am greatful - janet was my outward fantasy for years after - as the Doc and lifestyle have been my fantasy since - "lets do the timewarp again". . . .

**Okay time to Share**

Yes I was in the Cast of Devine Decadence and Merry Mayhem

I have Played every character (Yes even the Girls on Drag Night)

but was a permanent Eddie and Stand in for Riff

I have even done the show in the wearing nothing but Pasties and a Marble Bag..... yet it was truely a frightening night.

I have seen some 12 casts perform the film and am the reason for the Back Row Rule.

I have even been filmed for a Local Access Cable Network and did it for an audience of 7000. At least that is what the rating said was watching. (It was a LOW rating)

When I retired from both casts I was the EMCEE and no longer acting in the cast but I got to DEVIRGINIZE The Virgins.

Claim to Fame Moment: We were talking with the owner of the Red Rick Theater in Las Vegas trying to move the venue to his theater when he called the other theater to ask how trustworthy we were, we got a glowing review..... we knew however we would NOT be getting access to the theater when all the sudden he frowned and said "YOU FOUND WHAT!!! IN WHERE!!!" we never found out what that was all about but for 6 months to break down the amount of virgins we had we would play the best new Tranny-sill-vanian Game Show... YOU FOUND WHAT IN WHERE!!!!!!!

Best Answer so far.

Grandma's Diaphram in the Poodle

Anyway RHPS was a very different kind of Influence it was what made me not care about a persons Image and get to know the person instead. We may all have looked like sexual deviant Freaks but one of our REGULAR Trannies was a well known Judge in Nevada.

We have 6 congressmen attend our show over the 5 years that I was with them.

I will never forget that part of my life and no ammount of money could make me live it over again.

I think I mentioned in another thread that Rocky Horror was one of the pivotal points for me.  It was sometime around 1979 or 1980 and I was in high school.  I knew I had specific interests and I openly shared them with people but I lived in a small town in Mississippi so people just looked at me funny.  Seeing all of those people in corsets, leather vests/pants and carrying a riding crop was my first clue that I wasn't alone in my thoughts.  I left that town within the next couple of years and never lived in a small town again.

I saw it in the theatre when it first came out and absolutely adored it! It got so panned and I didnt understand. I didnt join in on the cult part of it, I am not really a joiner like that. I also love Tim Curry and saw him play Amadeus in Manhattan and he was totally and completely awesome, so was the play.

I just learned here for the first time ever that he was short. I had no idea!

Well, I have had the kinky feelings since I was 16, but I sure have seen it a lot. I went in streaks, at different places around the US. I was in the cast (I will let you guess the parts I played) and in the audience. I even helped out on production at times. I loved the experience. I went with different groups at different times in my life. The last group ... was the best. Dan .. who looked better than Susan S as Janet (he had legs and ass you wouldn't believe), Marsha .. who was the best little Nell ever, Tom .. a street preacher .. the Best Brad (I never played that part) and Vera .. Magenta at her best. I miss them and the times we had. Those who didn't get to let loose and experience it, I'm sorry for you.

Edited for spelling

"Don't Dream It,
Be-eee it...."

I saw it a handful of times back in 80&81.My girlfriend at that time was a fan & got me to go with her, then I liked it &  enjoyed the experience &turned a couple friends of mine on to it. Then several years later I  saw a fun theatre production. I think the soundtrack is great & can almost stand on its own as fun enjoyable music.  I was long gone kinky well before my first viewing, though. The good Dr was likely my first exposure to genuine(if an actor playing a part can be considered genuine, lolol!)  switching. Janet - Susan Sarandon - certainly went a long way in her career. I think my favorite post RHPS movie of hers was Atlantic City, with Bull Durham a close second. A lot of people loved her asa bi-sexual  lover to a vampire in The Hunger, & I love good vampire fiction, but I've never been able to get through the whole movie. Ditto for the book.

i went to Rocky viewings often as a teen.  It was one of perhaps three things to do at night in my hometown and it was where my kind of crowd went to meet up.  A few times i was "Prop # 2", acting as windshield wipers or doors and whatnot.
i suppose, upon review, that it did influence my life--i made friends through Rocky outings with proudly kinky people.  It probably left me more open to possibilities when the chance for new experiences cropped up later. Pardon the pun.
It might have influenced my movie tastes more.  If anyone mentions the words "cheesy", "B rated", or "cult" in connection to a movie, i run off to watch it in a near Pavlov-ian reaction.
i heard somewhere that there's a remake of  Rocky Horror movie in the works. i am against this.
