Ok what is it with people feeling the need to mess about with their fonts etc in posts. I have seen a few who add random colours or caps to their messages and it really gives me a headache I am sure I am not the only one, is it simply a device used to make the post stand out? I mean it must take ages to format it.

Sometimes if it's in a quote, it's utilized to respond to specific parts of the quoted post.

If they are sufficiently annoying, I click the Hide button beneath their avatar. Then I never see their posts again.

I do not see such posts often these days. I wonder why?

Well, we do have a lot of individuals with amazing personalities in here.  If it's disturbing to you, you could go hang out in one of those heavily-moderated forums....or make your own.

They do have a pretty good money-back refund policy in here, though....just fill out the forms in triplicate and click.

Ahhhhh....

It's good to know that I'm no longer the greatest offender in the annoying writer's guild.  Funny how a little purple and a few capitalized pronouns pale by comparison now.

Still, to answer your question, I'll say what I've always said.  This is a forum related to BDSM discussion, which is easily linked to personal expression.  Would you rather that everyone was the same, or would you have them write in the way that they feel expresses them the best?  I don't care if that's capped pronouns, third person speak, rainbow colors, or leather pride.  There's enough of how people should express themselves enough out there.  I may not care for some of it, but I'll darn sure encourage those who feel it expresses who they are.

It's a typo.  It's supposed to be "plummin'" and it means anything typed in purple.

With a  up at LadyPact.......

Ah, I see. Well, I like LP's font, almost as much as I like mine.

Now, what's mine called? Glummin?

Actually I usually ask them to change it back to normal since I have vision problems. Now GypsyQueen who does this a lot, also has vision problems, but she finds this makes it easier for her to see. Which I found fascinating.

Yes, I remember her post talking about that. Is my font easy for you to read, Celeste, or is one that gives you trouble?

Hmmmm.....I kinda like seeing some posters like LadyPact and GQ using color font. It makes them unique and has become part of their personality on the forums. The same also applies to MAMBOdeBEAU, it what makes them stand out from the crowd.
