Not very; I made that choice as part of reclaiming my sexuality when my ex- and I separated, though truly, being dark, creative people, we always had things that could have been construed as kinky around. I recently turned my very vanilla ex-'s gaming room (When I say gaming in this instance, I mean D&D, Battletech, etc.) into a gorgeous sanctuary of kink including a mahogany-stained St. Andrew's cross as one of the main pieces of furniture. I have a collar and cuffs on my bedside table. My godkids play dress-ups when they come over; they're used to me having lots of 'weird' costumes (I make them costumes each year for Ren Faire...or, sometimes cheese and buy them something cool). My vanilla ex- used to brag to people about the spreader bars I made myself. Oh, and I have woven hammock swings in the basement suspended from the ceiling (They're from Faire, they're not intentionally sex swings) but there's some serious hardware sunk into the structural beams that the guys who finished the basement for me giggled over. And, gack, if people looked in drawers and closets: sex toys, porn magazines, DVD's, VHS tapes. Now, could I limit a person seeing most truly 'kinky' stuff, sure. As for things like books: human sexuality is a major interest of mine and I've studied it extensively academically, so I'd be likely to proudly point out my 1st edition Kinsey reports or a Victorian sex manual, etc. I don't care if people think I'm weird. Now, if they think I'm easy...well, that's what the weapon collection is for. < evil grin > Davan
