It is rare that I delete unread, except it is obvious from a profile that the person contacted me before and behaved inappropriate. However, when I read an email and it is obvious that the person didn´t bother to figure out who I am or what I am looking for then I don´t read more then 1-2 lines and delete the email, as my life unfortunately is not boring enough to read through all that crap. Also when someone keeps sending me lines d/s means or means not...hello? I am not interested in reading essays, nor do I need anyone to explain me "what it is about". So even when I am usually opening every email I get, many of them still end up in the bin without being fully read and followed by being blocked. I do have a life off the screen and just can't be bothered to stay in such unneccessary contact with someone who is not what I am looking for anyway.

I am polite by nature. I always read an email. I seldom respond though, unless there is something of value that calls for a response. Usually then it is a thank you or to answer a legit question.

If i do not want mail I hide my profile...if i am open to receive mail i will read it.

When a recipient quickly reads mail and then deletes it, it will show on the senders mail list as 'deleted unread' this does not mean that the recipient has not read it...i think it is a bit of a fault in CM's mail system because if you would send a thankyou to someone who would just delete it after reading it not to clog up their box then unwittingly they are telling you that the message was deleted which comes across a bit naf really
