Why did they suspend his account?

Beyond that... so what? You found a guy who wants to pay in silver and another guy who is willing to take silver in payment. Pawn shops barter in all manner of goods all the time. It sounds like the guy in the video is trying to prove that the US monetary system is in the dumper just because of the actions of a couple folks on the fringe (in my opinion).

pahunkboy you seem to know how this all works lol.

Just out of curiosity -- someone posed a comment which i thought was correct -- this guy is using federal currency which has a specific value, how is he going to make more than $0.10 on a U.S. Dime, he can't melt it right, that is against the law correct? distroying any federal currency is, i thought.

George had an up and coming career in journalism. It isnt quite like you say. This piece is not his sole work. He was featured on Fox and on Alex Jones. I does better reporting then most of what I see on TV. The point- is youtube banned him. Both of his accounts. He does not deserve that. Wait and see- others will say the same thing once they find out. At least the youtube crowd will.

Yes- it is illegal to melt it. Same with nickels, and pennies. They even watch to see that too many dont leave the USA.

A 90% dime is worth $1 to $1.50 currently. The guy in the vid was rather precise... trade I think works abit more casual then that.

No one would use a 90% dime as just 10 cents. to do so - is shorting yourself.

You see the money itself used to back up the promise. Gold was used in money- and even today the govt figures gold at $32.50 an ounce. not the 900$ it goes for.

The thing is- the coin itself has value even if the govt doesn't.

As long as they continue to trade it as a piece of precious metal with 90% silver content and then factor the value based on its 90% of its weight times the prevailing price for silver they could theoretically trade it in that form forever. This does not take into account the potential collector's value of a very old dime, in this case or maybe a silver table setting. It could exceed the value of the silver in it very easily. It would also cost money to melt it down and refine it so that is another disincentive to melt it down. The only real reason or need to melt it down would be to make something else out of it like jewelry, say.

US coins of silver are highly tradable.    This because many are familiar with them. I avoid off name mints... I have taken the plunge tho- and bought my first Canadian coins! 80% quarter. (living wild here!! ;-))

One really doesnt want to go lower then 40%.    They are harder the melt.   Some nickels are 35%- but I havent gotten into them.   Early on- you could turn in a 1 dollar bill for 1/20 ounce of gold.    Not any more.   Why?   The gold was leaving the country. Since the money was worthless people demanded the real metal- not a promise.   The hobby is one that you can not know too much about. I have only been serious since the massive bail out.

500 ounces of silver will equal an average house- paid in full.   No banks.,.. no mortgage. And I dont mean Detroit either.    Study the area. You can never know too much about YOUR MONEY.   Thats right. YOUR money.   They play games with it - to do spending pay for wars- and programs.... it is all smoke and mirrors. Nothing of real value ever magically appeared vis printing more.

In Wiamarr Germany the money was so worthless they used it as firewood!   Today we are digital - so we dont even get that!!!

Monetary collapses happen all thru out history. This is not even the first for the USA.    Also we are very early into it... it will be as long as 3 years before your see 1940s type of levels.    So study and learn.    The banks and govts are all lying.      Yup. Scamming.   You and scamming the middle class. and we are falling for it.

History repeats. We arent immune from folly. Do you digging. You will see things that dont add up. The warning signs. But all is not lost- people who stack- (us) will be in a position to help loved ones.

If you dont do silver- do anything that people use - want- need- chocolate bars, razer blades cigarettes, even soap. Use your imagination.   The day is coming ......... and this is YOUR CHANCE.    :-)    This is your insurance...your bail out- and no counter-party risk. :-)
