My Master and I have been talking about using a name for Him in private to show His authority. We discussed names like Master, Owner, Lord, Sir, and things like that, but He doesn't like any of them. I'm running out of ideas for a name, and He wants me to chose one for Him. Any ideas?

That's kind of odd. As a Dom, I would be expecting to pick my sub's name, not the other way around.

It would seem DS that they are looking for a way for her to show diference to her Master while in public with no one knowing what is going on. I was always fond of Maven, however eventually people thought it was actually my name. Today it is HoneyBear. I kinda like it more. Steel

Perhaps you could choose a name from another language. Sensei means teacher in Japanese while Dono is a respectful title. Maestro is Italian for Master. You could also take a poetic approach... if he reminds you of a bear, translate that word into another language... by choosing something unusual, you share a secret and thats always intimate and romantic.

We can suggest things but you know him best. Is there something for you that brings out his Master in you that would be a term of endearment for you to call him? Some prefer to be called Master, Sir, Daddy, and others prefer formal names and such. It is true as DarkSteven suggested that usually the Dom picks a name for their sub and a way for the sub to address their Dom. However, according to your profile you are young as might be your Master/Dom so I think the two of you have to figure this out together. When I asked my Master if he had always been called that or if he been called anything else he asked me what fit. I said Master and that is what I called him during our time together. I wish you the best.

How about his real name? A derivative of his real name? Sir, Master, hon, buddy, boy, dear, sweetie, honeypie, daddy, father, baby, lord, Senor, Mister, Signore, Dom, Dommy, Maestro, magnus, magister, teacher, ruler, governer, superior, boss.... ....just to name a few.....

I've talked to my Master about it, and He really likes the sound of the ideas you've given me. He wants to think about it some more, but it looks like I won't have any problems picking out a name. Thanks everybody!

I hate forced pet-names; for me, they need to come naturally. < shurg > Let us know what he chooses (Or you choose or you guys choose or however the name happens). Let us know how the choice was made too, lol! :> Davan

We decided to go with the name Lion but in a different language. We're still deciding on which language to use specifically.

(almost forgot the why part) I chose Lion because he reminds me of one. He's a natural pack leader, He's big and strong, and He can be quite rough.

A long long long time ago I was "Lady Lionesse" and my slave was known as lioncub shortened to cubby, cubster, cubs (you get the picture) anyway, he's still my cubby to this day even though I have used a different nick for nearly ten years.
