DavanKael -> Soundtrack for an Evening (5/26/2009 6:04:44 PM)

Hi, all----
While listening to the new Marilyn Manson album (It's fantastic!) and doing some cleaning, I was creating a list in my head of cool tunes to set a 'mood' for an evening of kinky fun.  This isn't a novel thread but I'm not sure that I've seen someone request a 'playlist' previously.  So, here's my concept: please share a playlist of at least 10 songs (If possible, please include artist and song title) that you think would be mood enhancing for a timeframe of D/s entertainment.
  Davan

(Not in any particular order and I've almost certainly forgotten somethig super-cool)

1) Danzig--"Serpentia" and/or "I Don't Mind the Pain"
2) Marilyn Manson--"Personal Jesus" and/or "Sweet Dreams"
3) Garbage--"#1 Crush"
4) Nine Inch Nails--"Reptile"
5) Disturbed--"Darkness"
6) Evanescence--"Bring Me to Life"
7) Nick Cave (with Kylie Minogue)--"Where the Wild Roses Grow"
8) Queensryche--"Spreading the Disease"
9) Tool--"Schism"
10) Tori Amos--"Crucify"
11) Concrete Blonde--"Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)"
12) Godsmack--"Voodoo"

Really, most anything by Danzig, Manson, or NIN would fit the bill, imo.
Also, some trance/ambient electronic music peppered in (Especially Arabic or Indian).

you are so right,

i was 19 driving in a car with my then lover,
and heard for the first time Zappas in think it is called "going in you again"
as a zappaist you may can help me with the title

I was totally turned on and we were on the highway and had a family meeting to attend,
8 hours till we had time and the song playing in my head,
first time that i was not happy about being a musican,

The wait was it worth, and i found out, that he did it on purpose, maybe he was a bit sadistically inclined.

Lockit -> RE: Soundtrack for an Evening (5/27/2009 12:02:09 AM)

I like to put music to my storylines and drove a few crazy asking about music that fit bdsm or d/s.  I have so much of it that I couldn’t put it here.  I was mostly interested in female dominant scenes, but have male dominant ones as well.  These are just some I could come up with quick.

For males I love:
The Doors: I’m a back door man, Touch me, The Changeling, Wishful Sinful
Lizzie West: Chariots Rise
Steppenwolf:  Magic carpet ride
Bob Segar: Come to Papa
Wilson Pickett: The midnight hour

For females I love:
The Doors:  Love Street, You make me real, Wishful Sinful
Leonard Cohen:  I’m your man
James and Bobby Purify: I’m your puppet
Percy Sledge:  When a man love’s a woman
Santana: Black Magic Woman
Eagles: Witchy Woman

Either
Juliet: Ride the pain
Portished:  It’s a Fire, Pedestal, Mysterons, Biscuit, Glory Box
Duffy: Distant Dreamer
Joss Stone: Right to be wrong
Eurythmics: Sweet Dreams
Robert Palmer: Addicted to love
Divinyls: I touch myself
Creed:  With arms wide open
INXS: Devil Inside, Afterglow

Fitznicely -> RE: Soundtrack for an Evening (5/27/2009 2:01:07 AM)

NIN - Closer (not just the lyrics, but the hypnotic beat that, lets face it, was made to flog someone to)
Nekromantix - S&M
Jose Nunez - Bilingual
Various White Zombie, Pantera, Fear Factory, Machine Head...

I'm off to look up that Zappa track...

Goddess2002 -> RE: Soundtrack for an Evening (5/27/2009 2:15:04 AM)

OMG funny you mention Marilyn Manson...there is nothing that gets my whip cracking harder than "If I was your Vampire" or any song off  "Eat Me, Drink Me".

Also anything by Jane's Addiction or Stone Temple Pilots. Sometimes trance music if I'm in a more kitschy mood.
