GreedyTop -> RE: Soundtrack for an Evening (5/27/2009 9:09:41 AM)

personally, I want music that doesnt have jarring bits to it.  it needs to be background stuff... a good beat, but nothing that is going to SLAM me suddenly

pissthirstysub -> RE: Soundtrack for an Evening (5/27/2009 9:14:02 AM)

I agree with Greedy, I usually end up just listening to light jazz, blues, and Henry Mancini for a little excitement. Oh and somehow "Grazing In The Grass" is always in my head.

Not really, I got dialup. My list is actually 16 long. Here are 10, in no particular order:

Chrome Plated Heart - Melissa Ethridge, from before she was gay.
Whipping Post - Alman Brothers Band
Pressure - Billy Joel
Addicted to Love - Robert Palmer
Breakdown Dead Ahead - Bozz Skaggs
I'm the Only One - Melissa Ethridge
Heartless - Heart
I Touch Myself - Divynils (Ultimate submissive song)
No Sugar Tonight - Guess Who
Tainted Love - Soft Cell

I am glad to see that I am not the only one whose background music wouldn't be the same cliched dungeon stuff that everyone else listens to. Great list.

Ooh, many thanks to the person who mentioned Type O Negative; their "Bloody Kisses" album, especially the song "Christian Woman" would definitely be on my list.
Lots of cool lists and songs mentioned here!  I'm having to do some looking on some; cool to learn new things and to hear new tunes.  :>

You are soooo welcome!  I also like their song - 'my girlfriends girlfriend' and the lead singer Peter Steele is so freaking HAWT!!

subangi -> RE: Soundtrack for an Evening (5/27/2009 2:31:41 PM)

Frank Zappa...remember Billy the Mountain?  I think I still have that album.  What a blast from the partying past.

DavanKael -> RE: Soundtrack for an Evening (5/27/2009 7:48:27 PM)

Hi, Velvet Cruelty----
Yep,. "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" has been grabbed by some as quite the poly- song as well.
And, yes, Peter Steele is nice to look at.  He did a layout for Playgirl back in the early 90's...very nice!  :>

I'm finding the diversity of music folks are noting really groovy!  :>
Hope y'all are having fun with the thread too!  :>
