             Not sure that this is in the right section but here I go. I know there's a lot of scams going around, so I'm not so sure if the person talking to me is trying to scam me. I get an email from a mistress from out of state that looks like a model. This raises a flag for me right away since girls that look like models don't send me messages whether its real life, dating site, or a site like this it just doesn't happen. I asked if she would prove herself to me on webcam and she refuses. I don't want her to give me a cam show I just want to know she's real. I mean if she's real I would love to serve her in any way possible. 'She' wants me to send her an amazon gift card to her email. I have no problem if she's real. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think someone asking you to send money (via a gift card, even) sight unseen is something to be suspicious of.

My suggestion is to listen to your gut.  You are most likely correct in your suspicions.  Why take it any further?  Save your money, and look for someone who is authentic in their presentation.

Frankly, I think you'd get more out of buying yourself something from Amazon.

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON! Read about Common Scams and Online Safety Information

It's there because certain people have no common sense.  Now, if you had used your common sense or read the guidelines of common scams that Collarme provides for you, you would not have had to post your message in the first place.

Hmmm. By "real" do you mean "really the woman in the pic?"  Let's say she is.  Do you want to start a relationship with someone who asks you, right out of the box, to do something that could potentially harm you?  Seriously?  How could you ever trust her to keep you safe when you're tied up?

That must be a very hot pic.

Actually Peppermint I did read the rules and I would never send anyone money, but she just wants a card, there's a difference. I'm afraid there may be a way for her to get my credit card info thats what worried me. I'm not overly concerned with losing 5 dollars on a gift card. The part that worries me is there a way for her to get my credit card number? But yes I know not to send out real money, if she had asked for a check or something I would know it was a scam but she just wanted a gift card sent to her email.

I think you likely posted because you sensed something was wrong, so your instincts aren't so bad and we're teasing

Avoid those who ask for money

As you said, beware models emailing those they don't know

Consider joining a local group or at least going to one function just to meet some folks

Sure, it's five dollars for a gift card now, then she'll want a PayPal deposit to talk to you a second time, then she'll want a Saks Fifth Avenue card.  C'mon now, use your head.

Last time I checked sending someone a gift card is actually sending them money isn't it? Would it make a difference if she was asking you for a $100 gift card rather than a $5 one?

If you really want to follow it through, buy a prepaid VISA card, and use that to purchase whatever.  It's the standard scambait tactic.  That way if they try to defraud you, they can't get more than twenty bucks or so, and you can sic the authorities on them for wire fraud.

For what it's worth, I agree with everyone who has posted on this thread.  If you want to find out for yourself anyway, minimize your risks.

           thanks everyone for replying. I didn't expect to get so many replies especially so soon. I deep down knew it was fraud but I guess I didn't want to believe it. They did have 3 pictures, but I know its very possible that they could easily be someone else's pictures. And like someone said even if the person is real there intentions are probably all based on money hungry. Once again thank you for everyone that responded.

Well scammer or not, it doesn't matter. Its someone who is essentially after money. They don't care about getting a nice slave to serve them, they want money. Even though they claim its to see if a slave is submissive enough or whatever. (Thats just nonesense anyhow). So just forget about her, and move on.

honestly, do you really need us to tell you it's a scam?  anyone can post pics claiming it is their picture.  anyone can claim to be anyone they wish, this is online, it's fantasyland!  remember the old saying there's a sucker born every minute?  well with the invention of the internet, i think it's every nanosecond now.  common sense kiddo, supermodels aren't going to ask you to be sugardaddy, they're out chasing the guys with real money.   "she" probably sent the same emails to about 100 guys that night.  you don't even know if the person on the other end of those emails was really female!
