Actually Peppermint I did read the rules and I would never send anyone money, but she just wants a card, there's a difference. I'm afraid there may be a way for her to get my credit card info thats what worried me. I'm not overly concerned with losing 5 dollars on a gift card. The part that worries me is there a way for her to get my credit card number? But yes I know not to send out real money, if she had asked for a check or something I would know it was a scam but she just wanted a gift card sent to her email.

Excuse me.  What is the difference between a gift card and money?  They can both be used to buy things, right?  Twenty dollars in cash and a twenty dollar gift card both buy twenty dollars of merchandise.  Are you thinking scam artists only ask for "real" money, not viable substitutes like gift cards?

It's human to want to believe that one is wanted. Sorry this person tried to take advantage of that.

Not only that, it's human nature to want to trust. We're biologically inclined to want to trust other people. We can't help it.

OP, don't feel bad. There's tons of people out there who are for real, and you shall know them by the fact that they don't ask total strangers to send them gifts. You seem like a really nice guy, it's just a matter of time before a different bus pulls up without any scam artists on it. Hang in there. Lesson learned; you'll wake up tomorrow morning one experience wiser and better prepared than you were when you woke up this morning.

Hold on, you don't know anything of the kind. I mean hey, you started out not trusting your feelings, now you're talking like you think they're omniscient and infallible. Get a grip. You don't do something if it doesn't feel right. That's all. That's all the reason you need.

Not sure that this is in the right section but here I go. I know there's a lot of scams going around, so I'm not so sure if the person talking to me is trying to scam me. I get an email from a mistress from out of state that looks like a model. This raises a flag for me right away since girls that look like models don't send me messages whether its real life, dating site, or a site like this it just doesn't happen. I asked if she would prove herself to me on webcam and she refuses. I don't want her to give me a cam show I just want to know she's real. I mean if she's real I would love to serve her in any way possible. 'She' wants me to send her an amazon gift card to her email. I have no problem if she's real. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Offer to make a donation to her favorite charity instead that way if she turns out to be a flake, at least you can deduct it from your taxes.

Send me $150.00 and I'll give you the only honest, true answer out of everyone here.

Despite what some people think stupidity and submission aren't quite the same thing.

It is for certain Dom/mes, who would never have a smart person sub to them.
