Those eyes, that hair...reason enough for a psych evaluation certainly.

I don't think a lot of people {especially those under 40} realize how influential, powerful,
and legendary Phil Spector is/was in the music industry for years.

Phil worked with many artists and helped produce many hit songs.  Phil worked with many of the
greatest artists, {The Beatles, John Lennon, Ramones, Ben E King, Ronettes, Ike and Tina Turner, The Righteous Brothers} produced the hits {Happy Christmas {one of my favorite Christmas tunes}, Imagine, Let it Be, My Sweet Lord, Bangladesh, The Long and Winding Road, River Deep/Mountain High}, the list just goes on and on.

Many of my favorite tunes, are Phil Spector related.
His remarkable career started as a teenager and spanned over 40 years.
To say he was talented and influential is an understatement, I guess that is why he was given a pass and "allowed" to get away with his outrageous and over the top behavior for years.

I am glad he was convicted, I wonder how much time he will spend in jail at 68?
I wonder who does his hair?

when I put on his stuff, especially the girl groups he produced with the wall of sound production, it sounds so wonderful, managing to be both overblown and warm... which very few people in pop can pull off now, theres of course lots of stuff thats really overblown and loudly made, but it usually sounds clinical and synthetic and in the end - deeply unsatisfying

The word is that his minimum sentence will be 15 years before the possibility of parole, ie, it's widely considered he'll likely die in prison . . . .

&

From the wow-how-ironic-can-I-take-it files, one of my absolute favorite John Lennon songs, "Woman Is The Nigger Of The World" was produced by Spector . ... . & that would be while Phil was still married to Ronnie Spector . . . . . .

Gonna take me a while to digest all of that . . . . . . .
