I have a photo shoot scheduled this week, for a couple of CMers. My problem is I am having some mental blockage when it comes to thinking up original Male dom photos. The Dom in question is new, so he doesnt really have any fetishes or interests yet that involve him. He has a pantyhose fetish but thats for his girl, things like that. Msot of his defined interests revolve around her, which is great fodder for the couples photos. It still leaves me hanging when it comes to what to do for him. I will be taking some of the more routine photos for male dominants, but I was hoping maybe someone will have an idea or two that is dominant-looking but out of the ordinary. Damn creative blocks, I have TONS of couple ideas and tons for her, just none for him!

A pose where he is holding out one hand in a way that is suggestive of expecting something to be given to him, but also suggesting he is offering his hand to lead the submissive?
Standing in a doorway, light room on one side dark room on the other?

Most women I know don't care to see any primary sex symbols in the photo. And who is his photo for, if not to look good for the ladies? Even if he's not looking, women are the only interested party.

Try to make him look tall, handsome, and mysterious. Worldly and well read. A real gentleman, someone worth devoting oneself too. If he can pull off the look, aim upwards to the face slightly. (From below is usually a terrible angle for people, but this could work.

For more artistic shots, consider his hands. Make his hands look big by forcing perspective (thinner rope, shorter book, whatever he's holding or near). Heroes and guys with huge cocks have big hands... and women like both.

Try to capture a laugh. It's a gamble, but worth the film/drive space to capture. Honest, real emotions (frustration, curiosity, horniness, amusement, embarrassment) can be stimulated in a studio. The nuances in his face are worth the effort of legitimate feeling.

If you want just him for certain photos, have her kneel in front of him out of frame. Seeing his girl kneel will put a smirk on his face. Smirks can be very charismatic and sexy.

Please whatever you do don't kick him in the nuts. There's too many with that sort of expression on their faces. Do what you like but please, leave his nuts alone.

I would imagine a submissive would like to see a man who looks like he has himself together by the way he presents himself... Clean looking, and well dressed (which simply means maybe black jeans/trousers or leather pants, white shirt, and black shoes). M

I'd just like to see a nice picture of a male dom smiling. Too many of them seem to think that its undomly, and they should look all mean and scary.

I'm not submissive anymore but when I was, this is what I would have liked to see then too.

I was going to say to have his sub doing or saying something to him, but keep her out of the picture. Capturing his expressions when looking or listening to her will be fantastic .. imo.

Thank you for the ideas. My problem is I cant picture it.

Someone on another site suggested I think about what would make me want to introduce myself, what about his aura and presence would make me want to be with him. The answer is... nothing. Male dominance doesnt attract me. All the male dominants I know have subed to me at some point... so its harder for me to see it.

I appreciate the help.

I cant be doing with any of the pretentious stuff, I agree meet him, see what hes like, maybe he will have any ideas. The biggest difficulty I think is make him human, so many Doms seem to want to look infallible, dark and broody, flames yadda yadda, its too cliche.

Agreed. One of my fave pics is of a Dom working on a project. Nothing overtly sexual about it, other than his concentration on the job at hand. Definitely different from the "I'm going to Dom you" deal in so many pics. Other than that, I agree with the person who said get him laughing. So many Ds think that cracking a smile will mess up their Domly Dom image, when the truth is that lots of us would rather see a playful grin that shows him as a real person who likes to laugh.

I've talked with him and he doesnt. He hopes I can make him look like he does. He is already partnered, and so this isnt necessarily to make him GET a partner, but they do want to present a certain image. And of course, she is in love with him so every idea I tossed out she loved and thouht would look great. Never get an art critic who is in love with the model...

The whole "I am dark twisted soul" pictures work on SOME submissives just as "on your knees slut" works on a few.

The point is to think who HE wants and create a photo that appeals to the woman/women he wants.

I have always thought it would be cute to show a picture of me sitting at my desk in a suit. Kind of boring but if you look carefully, there is just the hint of a woman's head in my lap at the very bottom edge of the picture.

Another would be taking upward with him standing tall and looking down.

As many have said, a laugh or a smile can be quite inviting

Perhaps one that mocks the "uber dom" image in some way. Some typical imagery, the "oh so serious" dom" but with a pink shirt or a flower in his hair.

Perhaps with a bit of lipstick on his neck?

Have you thought of cruising some online sites that cater to fans of Hollywood stars, and see what the current fashion is for dominant males? Check out the publicity stills for the Rock, or the new James Bond, or that guy who does the "Transporter" flicks... I'd be willing to bet there are some good stealable ideas there!

Yeah, we are flipping.
Lose the idea that you are shooting a dominant and shoot the person he is instead.
Otherwise the image portrayed is just a false one both to him, and to the 'general public'.
Forget the fetishes he has - if he already owns and not trying to attract another and unless he just wants to show off his toys, there is no point. Use his hobbies instead. I have taken photographs of people writing, listening to music, playing guitars, taking photographs, playing golf or looking out to sea.

His dominance will shine regardless - if he is doing what comes naturally.

I'm a tad old fashion at times, but for a pure male photo I like a photo with the Dom and perhaps his pet dog (Canine), Sitting on his Harley would be good or simply the old fashion pose of a master or Patriarch seated in a formal and stern pose. With his sub/slave I do fancy a photo with him standing and if she is shorter, his hand in her shoul;der or him seated and her kneeling at his feet. As you would of course know, a lot depends on the male's age and more importantly, his bearing which should display his authority of something of the leader in him.
