An old saying goes "when in Rome, do as the Roman's do." Sure, our president may arguably wield the most potent military force in the world. In Saudi Arabia (still a kingdom, mind you) our president isn't royalty; he's a man. There's no weakness in offering respect regardless of the form, and there's a clear distinction between offering respect and prostrating one's self. I highly doubt Bush would have worn his shoes in the Japanese prime minister's house. This is no different. Stephan

Obama commands nothing... the military hates his guts....(only smile for the camera in photo ops...the guy will go down as the most incompetant bozo ever to be elected by the left wing media driven dummies known as the 'worst generation' aka the MTV generation...) well a couple years ago the Saudis were often grouped together with AL queda by all the Bush bashers ;) Many on the left would have flipped a couple years ago if bush had done this....along with a denial that it occurred...lol WHy is Obama lying about it now?
