Excellent, sounds like you're doing a great job . ... . Some additional thoughts: About JK: adverse consequences should 'logically fit' & they should be relatively brief, so that they're 'doable', but they should escalate (doesn't have to be steeply) . . . . . So, perhaps, one practice session or one week ban on band practice to start, cuz, yeah, getting his bandmates in on his issues makes sense . .. The additional-uses-of-your-venue thought-problem is an ongoing thing that your staff / loved ones / friends / etc can / should be thinking on, as well . .. . Recruit everyone in thinking of uses, then it's up to you to figure out which ones are potentially lucrative & worth pursuing . . .. . If that makes sense . . . .. The more brains / perspectives cooking on that one, the better . . . . (Oh, a thought -- there may be film / teevee work going on in your region, & it might be worth contacting your state entity that encourages film production in-state to find out how your facility can become available for use by film productions (most states have such, similar to the gov't entities that encourage tourism) . . .. . ) The promoters have magazines & online sites where they network, so keep looking . . . . . Given your business you should see if the various popular music mags (Blender (?), that kinda thing) will add you to their comp lists, professional courtesy & all that . . .. . (I've also worked in publishing & there's an enormous amount of professional courtesy about sending out review copies & such . . . . ) The other thought is that what you're doing is strongly related to tenacity; as you prove to be a stable consistent venue, the business will build . . . . . . & the karma you're building up . .. . .. *big smile* I've got it in my head to follow this thread, but feel free to contact me if it seems appropriate . ..... . Courage. Best, The Demon, Kia
