First of all I have to agree with the popster here except under certain conditions.
Do you have a true interest in the field ? This means not for gain.
If so, you have probably been following the changes that have happened and might have an idea what is going to happen.
If so have you been doing any significant self study on the subject ?
If so do you conclude that in the years it will take to get the degree, that your skills will be in demand ?
If your answer is yes to those three questions, and you can afford it, it might be for you. Also note that IMO any good school should have you ready and during the last half or so of the last year should be concentrating on the latest changes in law and practices in commerce. You don't need obsolete information, and just how the winds are going to blow is unknown. It is not quite the same as studying math or science.
I said what I said, take a grain of salt, stick my words in your cap and call it macaroni, but consider this carefully. This takes time and money, and if you have that already, a few good investements might be wiser. Fortunes are made during times like this, and I think you would know that. Self study before the classroom can give you a bit of an edge, but also you can consider this your first test.
Will this be cost effective ?
OK, that is answering yes to four questions. Shit happens. Now that I mention that, it is something to consider. In the near future we may see caps of some sort, or punitive taxes on bonuses given to MBAs. Something else to consider.
