digits80 -> its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 3:50:57 PM)

It seems that there are  alot of submissive men vs. Dommes in the community.  It would only be natural that submissive males be willing to share a Domme.  With the shortage of Dommes, any Domme willing to have multiple subs should ultimately dicate the terms of the relationship.  Therefore, topping from the bottom is an unrealistic goal.  Bottom line ........THE DOMME RULES!!!!

OmegaG -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 4:06:45 PM)

I wouldn't worry too much about it.  There are pleny of idiot sub males that are sending out in bulk to sub females, sub males sending less then one liners or lewd sexual quesions as an opening introduction and penty of male subs that just throw themselves out without a thought for a careful first impression.

Seems to me that those that can read a profile, discern the viability of a connection and write a decent letter are few and far between.

Vanityfull -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 4:07:08 PM)

i dont share in my relationships, im a mono hopeless romantic, be it with a domme or w/e. i dont think the ratio has anything to do with how much shit someone should take in a relationship.  d/s or whatever both people have the choice of what they want in the relationship 50/50. sure there are alot of subs kicking around compared to domme types but i dont think one should ever compermise becuase of that.

anewme4u2c -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 4:21:33 PM)

although some subs do not desire to share, it is ultimately the choice of the Domme. A little competition between the subs would be interesting...I would enjoy the competition, it would only push my limits...
A New Me.

digits80 -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 4:27:04 PM)

life is about compromise.......every sub wants a hot looking Domme that caters to his every kink who is independantly wealthy and uses him as her sole toy.........every Domme would love to have a sub built like a greek god, perfect face, independantly wealthy and caters to her every kink.

Those lists do not include many people! lol   So unless no one else is finding a significant other than there is compromise.   yes, I do agree that when you get to know a person you find the inner beauty in them and you do not notice or care about where they do not meet the ideal mate criteria!  It's called a connection but before you get that connection a large percentage of the population can be classified as  shallow. Some people are less or more than others.

Therefore, my point is that if you are a truley submissive in nature and you want to find your Domme, you may have to serve her wishes and if that means being part of a stable so be it!

That creates a whole othe rtopic of when Dommes have a few subs and are too tired or drained to investt the time in all of them it leads to bi activities. keeps everyone busy lol

A kind of rota system so the Domme knows where she needs to be at a certain time kinda thing? [8|]

Id imagine the Dommes into poly relationships already have that all figured out and the Dommes into one on ones might just not want shared around a hundred male subs(hundred to one being my ratio estimate)

then its the subs choice if they want that relationship, maybe its my newbie ways but i think bdsm is about enjoying a consenual relationship not throwing someone on a pedistol who may or not respect my needs and wants.

before a person is a sub or a Domme, they are human, and all humans have to decide if the relationship proposed to them is satisfying.  I would suppose that there are some that would enjoy just being one of the stable in a relationship with a woman who has no or little emotional connection to him.  But I also know that there are plenty of woman who are searching for a specific person who they can grow old with.  Not all Dommes want aquisitions just as not all subs want to be just meat.

digits80 -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 4:50:40 PM)

Yes in the end we all want a connection wit that one special person.  But having that connection and bringing other toys in may be OK with all concerned.   But when you are younger and searching there is nothing wrong with being involved with many until you find the "one".  Dommes should have the pick of the group in this regard

Do you actually know a lot of kinky people in real life?  Like any other group, some kinky people are shallow as hell... but some are not.  There are many people for whom love, compassion, trust, honor, sense of humor and good ol' "chemistry" matter more than any of the things on your list.  Maybe you've never dated someone who was jaw-dropping hot but vapid, and so you think the hotness makes up for everything else.  It doesn't.

Your posts are starting to sound like a wank thread for your cuckold fantasy.  There are plenty of doms, both male and female, who are monogamous, and not into either cuckolding or poly.  It's safer to speak for yourself, not for "everyone."

Go read the Poly Forum......Although from your posts, I'm not sure you really understand what a M/s or D/s lifestyle is all about especially ine which is 24/7. Things are nowhere as simple as you seem to think. Have you ever been in a D/s or M/s relationship in real live as in face to face and not some cyber joke????

digits80 -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 6:26:06 PM)

Yes i have dated people into kink and i certainly am not trying to spaek for everyone.  Its just my experience and if offended you i am sorry...........i am just statimng my experince and i am only on of 3 billion people so take it for what it is worth

CatdeMedici -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/18/2009 7:13:55 PM)

ok its DOMINA, not Domme like Mommy--oy--and any Domina worth Her salt is the  One who rules--single, double or multiple, what's the point here?

edited to add, Domina is My preference, what I was taught---yeah I know its not everyone's kink--apologies for the uncouched outburst.

Huh? Domme is pronounced the same as Dom.

Domina is nice, though.

I actually find the ratio to be rather low on both counts. For this reason the "supply and demand" idea in reality favors neither camp when it gets down to taking D/s seriously.

slavekal -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/19/2009 4:47:38 AM)

I am completely willing to be cuckolded and to serve alongside other slaves.  Not everyone is comfortable with that.  If you force a situation, there will be problems.

feydeplume -> RE: its a question of numbers (3/19/2009 5:22:13 AM)

It is exactly this form of preference in address that started me using T/D/M to speak of the authority or whip holder. EVERYONE has a preferred form of address, be it UberLordHighOne,  or the Latin based Dom/Domina  and I would rather not try to remember eveyone's personal preference in each post I make.

I try in personal responses to use the preferred honorific, but my defaults are Sir and Ma'am, what I was taught when speaking to someone I don't know well or with whom i have no personal relationship.
