Does anyone know the difference between a hotwife and a cuckoldress?

Status: offline 		The dictionary definition of cuckold is a male who raises and supports the child of another male, thinking that it is his. 

That definition has kind of morphed into a description of a man who knows that his wife sleeps with other men, both with and without his tacit approval.  The term "hot wife" and "cuckoldress" get used interchangably and with no precision whatsoever.

Status: offline 		There's little debate in my mind about what a hotwife is. She's the one with partners other than the husband.

Cuckold vs. Cuckoldress vs. cuckolder vs. cuckoldee give me reason for pause.

A cuckold is a person who enjoys* having their spouse use others sexually. This is more the kink definition than dictionary definition. Using the same logic as found in "waiter vs. waitress", the cuckoldress is a female who's partner uses others for sex. The truth is, gender and cuckoldry are exclusive. Both men and women who are "left at home" should be able to be called cuckolds.

The question was "What's the difference between a hotwife and a cuckoldress?"

A hotwife has sex with people other than the main squeeze.
A cuckoldress's main squeeze has sex with others.

They're opposites, of sorts.



*I needed a verb. You can replace with "is victim of" if you prefer

Status: offline 		In modern day usage of the two terms, a cuckold is more likely to be submissive (humiliation, serving and other kink involved activities) to his wife and her dating other men while a hotwife tends to be more of the vanilla swinger variety.

Obviously the true definition of a cuckold simply means a married male who's wife has extra marital affairs, with or without his knowledge or permission. As it has become more "fetishized" there are a variety of subtle nuances, terminology that tend to separate or define the two. At least the online "version" and we all know everything online is accurate and true, lol. :)

I grab onto the cabinets above the washing machine and hoist myself up, then do a 180 degree turn so I don't have to throw  my legs over the back of the machine.     (ok, I only do this when I'm needing something out of said cabinets)    sorry Des...just an attempt at a little humor
