People are strange... when pregnant, I developed a strong desire to sniff clear shoe polish. I would frequently sneak a few sniffs when I was shopping at the supermarket. Thankfully it never became that compulsive that I couldn't help it...

Congratulations! Is this the first time for both of you?

It is our first, but not the first for either of us. Not sure what else I can say on that topic as some words are banned here. But we both have, how about offspring? Lol from previous relationships.

Thanks Steel, I'll remember the offer and may take you up on it.

We've already run into the tiredness factor. She's wiped most days when she gets home from work. As for cravings, meat and salt so far, although it's really too early to make that determination. I can understand meat as it is a source of protein and iron, but salt?

Dunno. We'll see.

Yeah, that is one of the words I use.  At least you are somewhat prepared and now can share the experience together.

I almost forgot.

Sympathy Sickness. I for the life of me cannot explain it but on the mornings where she DIDN'T Throw up ..... I DID. We would be driving to her work and she would be all happy that she didn't throw up that morning and I would cough and then have to pull over. It happend like once or twice a week. When we asked the Doctor hew said it was normal but was concerned that I was doing it on an empty stomach and made a joke about writing a prescription for a bowl of Cereal every morning. SO I did and well that just made it worse. It was weird and although there isn't a Scientific explanation I fully believe in Sympathy Symptons now.

If you get a Chance and have the cash at 26 Months (should have been weeks sorry) get a 4D ultrasound and if the kid plays along you can get some AWSOME pictures of your kid in the womb.

That is interesting, Steel.  I have heard about Sympathy Sickness before but you are the first guy to talk about it.  Did your feet swell too?

DAMNIT

26 weeks.

Okay that was funny.

26 Months would be one hell of a thing to see.

Nope the Throwing up was all I got. It was very annoying cause I didn't feel Ill just all the sudden I needed to up-chuck and then it was all over.

The only other thing I experinced with her that I believe was sympathy related was an uncontrolable desire to drink water. We were always Thirsty together, at the same time. Maybe it was just suggestive programming you know the fact that she wants something so do I, but literally we would both realize we were thirst at the same time.

Popeye, don't worry.  You can find a young hot slave who wants to have a few "cubs".  Men have the easy part of the equation on this one.  And I think you would make a great parent.

My only advice has nothing to do with BDSM and I know of no medical study that has been done to see if it's true.  I only know that I lived on Midway Island for a time.  There were no cars allowed there so we all road bicycles.  The ladies who had their UMs on the island had really fast quick labors.  The lady before me made it with 20 minutes to spare.  I had hard labor for an hour before popping.  We think it had to do with the bicycles.  Perhaps the right muscles are strenthened or loosened.  The women who went into Hawaii weeks before their due dates had normal length labors.

The gynecologist who came onto the island once during my pregnancy was aghast that ladies 8 months along were still riding bikes so I tried walking.  That was awful for the baby rubbing on the bladder.  Anyway, I'll suggest a stationary bike rather than a real bicycle just to be safe.

It's sometimes called couvate syndrome and the last time I looked into it a couple of Canadian researchers had found some rather significant hormonal changes in expecting fathers so it is now thought that sympathy sickness is related to the hormone changes.

my  hubby went thru morning sickness with our first, even had tummy cramps when I was in early labour and he didnt know had gone into labour(he was at work)
I had cravings for grapes, rolaids and sammiches made up of horseradish and blackcurrant jam with a sprinkling of custard powder.
I have no advice BDSM wise as I was fairly nilla at the time, but congratulations and keep us updated:)
Best wishes
Lucy
