I have a friend in the BDSM community locally that is very much into the scene, but his spouse is not. She respects him and attends most if not all of the play parties and munches with him, socializing with the others and is supportive of not only her husband (for the curious : a light switch predominantly submissive) but for all else. She's a vanilla who is enlightened and more than tolerant. We tend to feel that separation that you are either "one of us or against us" attitude with defining lines, and rightly so. But there are those few out there the respect BDSM for what it is, and feel love and trust over ignorance and suspect. Perhaps this GF can be like the couple I know in that respect... and if more did that, then the negative and taboo aspects might be lessened and fade a little more for us all. It might actually be a good thing...not so much for the taboo-thrillseekers though. But that's another post I'm sure.

OP means either the original poster, the person who started the thread. Or it means original post, as in your first, opening post on the thread, not any followups to it.

More information is always helpful, instead of less.

Now just because your desires are sexual does not mean your play has to include actual penetration. You could find someone to play with and then go home, fully charged and have sex with your wife. Because do you really feel that if you have incredible, mind blowing sex with a sub following intense play that you will be excited to then have plain old vanilla sex with your wife?
