http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/005007.php NEW YORK - A veteran civil rights lawyer was convicted Thursday of crossing the line by smuggling messages of violence from one of her jailed clients — a radical Egyptian sheik — to his terrorist disciples on the outside. The jury has been deliberating off-and-on over the past month in the case of Lynne Stewart, 65, a firebrand, left-wing activist known for representing radicals and revolutionaries in her 30 years on the New York legal scene. The jury deliberated 13 days in all. quote:

ORIGINAL: MasterShake69 why so they could pass messages to terrorists?? Now why is it that the assumption is made by every super paranoid conservative that if you're against torture, you're pro terrorist? Yes, we are talking about a group of progressives, liberals, if you like, but what makes you assume that there isn't one group they can find among the civil rights inspectors that could be trusted not to pass sensitive information to terrorist suspects? In this case, like most cases, the best disinfectant is sunlight.
