Instead of streamlining market mechanisms, some are tempted to expand state economic intervention to the greatest possible extent... In the 20th century, the Soviet Union made the state's role absolute. In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see it repeated."

UPDATE: The Chinese communist government issued another warning to Democrats today-- "Increased borrowing by the United States to fund its massive stimulus package could cause the depreciation of U.S. dollar-denominated assets."

Status: offline 		Yep, and the Chinese aren't just blowing their own horn.  China has a vested interest in seeing our economy revive.  We can't keep borrowing or printing more money to pay for all this crap.  I think most people learn during childhood that you don't spend money when you don't have it.

Status: offline 		Isn't that interesting.  Putin, a communist, former KGB, and now more "capitalist" sounding than our President who feels big government IS the solution and has all the answers when history shows just the opposite being true. Communist Poland fell..Hungary fell, the U.S.S.R. fell when people took to the streets.  It seems to me that there is a growing potential that with a few years of dysfunctional government ahead of us, the streets will again be filled n the U.S. but with middle class taxpayers tearing down the walls of government.

THERE WILL NEVER BE A DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED CONGRESS OR A DEMOCRAT IN THE WHITEHOUSE EVER AGAIN.

Status: offline 		Then the republicans became just like democrats.  If there isn’t any real difference then why not vote for the real thing.  The republicans did it all to themselves.  Atleast with the democrats spending bill...they cant share blame it all goes to the democrats.

The really sad news is that the republicans will win in November, 2010 bcause the economy is in the shitter...and some of us here could be looking for a job, unless we were bridge builders living in Missouri. Interest rates would be on their way up due to rising because of heavy government borrowing to replace and because the Chinese are no longer buying our debt after the third stupid statement in a row by Joe Biden in the summer months.

Hillary Clinton aided the republican victory when she resigned from the Obama cabinet after she found herself one of 18 "Secretary of State" with all the envoys Obama had running around the world and reporting directly to him.  The shocker was that Bill Clinton was legally adopted by the Bush 41 after Hillary caught him playing with Marilyn Albright and threw him out of the house in Westchester.

Hey...it could happen this way...  :)

They somehow think that the rest of America is as shallow,biased and short sighted at that are.It`s a mixture of naiveté,narcissism and a con man`s moxie.lol

Not with this last clown troop,though.Not with this last round of fuck-ups.

The con leadership are moving ever farther to the wacky right and the party is shedding it`s moderates.

That`s only going to make them look even more out of touch and less attractive to the rest of normal America.

Just look at the last month or so.It doesn`t bode well for them as a party(thank you god) and confirms what I`ve said.They`re self destructing.

Read an article the other day where the reporter reasoned that a certain portion of the con party just can`t accept that Obama won.They just can`t get their heads around it.Like as if aliens landed or time stood still,lol.She said there are a whole lot of folks who can`t face waking up knowing he`s the president and feel good.

Sad yes,but it would explain a lot.

Status: offline 		Right-wing arrogance is well documented.  As is their proclomations of being for the little guy fighting "elitist" liberals when in fact they represent the true elite(i.e the wealthy and business interests) not the average joe.  Neither party do.

In 2010 people will still remember who put the economy in the state it is in now. Come to think of it why will they win due to poor economy in 2010 if they didnt win in 2008 ?

Yeah, cause when Putin said "Excessive intervention in economic activity and blind faith in the state's omnipotence is another possible mistake." and other such statements...those very obviously weren't describing socialism. /sarcasm off
