I think I'm exactly the same online and off, which would unsettle most "non-CM-type" people in my life, except that I've been so "eccentric and extroverted" for so long that they are numb.  [:D]

I think that anyone that I've met in real time would certainly agree.

GreedyTop -> RE: online you vs offline you (2/17/2009 7:42:55 PM)

I do :)

All the people I've met from here, except Caro (and I'll get to that in a moment) are the same fun, silly, smart, warm, and kind people they appear to be here.

Caro, though... she's so quiet on the boards..  but what a firecracker offline!   She is fun, silly, kind and warm....

i'm 'quiet' offline, until i feel comfortable around others/once i get to know someone (then it's a different ball game, lol).  Otherwise, it's sit back and observe, like pts said.

Online, though, i try and be as twue to myself as i can.  i've done the being online = being drunk kinda thing, too.

feydeplume -> RE: online you vs offline you (2/17/2009 8:09:18 PM)

Online I am thoughtful, kind, giving, and likely to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. In real life i am loud, silly, mouthy, and i use much bigger words, parenthetical sentences, more french and latin, and laugh and point at people for reasons that only i seem to think are funny.

oh and you can see my boobies.

I am more reserved and quiet in person while getting to know people.  But if you can hang out and come with me to a show or party, then you get the wild and crazy side.

There's at least 34 people who can testify that how I am online is how I am in real life!

LMAO I was thinkin the same thing when I read the OP Bear - ask anyone who was at the Wedding, and we're all very much in real life exactly like we are online!

With the exception of my normal withdrawn self hiding from people I am pretty much the same.
But Phoenix and poen snatched all  the anxiety away before the wedding....havent seen it since.

If I know you online....I am totally comfortable in person I just get the 3D real reactions and not words.

I have laughed so much interacting with these two its like the three stooges. Even pulled off a perfect practical joke on phoenix.....now all that is the old me before my brain took a dive.  Greedy my sense of humour is hard to translate with words too, its just not the same without the twinkle in the eyes and hard to hold smiles and bruised rib laughing.  I crack myself up sometimes.  The humour has never really left but less used and normally around a small group of people.

I have no idea who took over my body before, at the wedding and after.....okay yes I do and Thank You. MWAH
I adore you both

NYLass -> RE: online you vs offline you (2/17/2009 9:25:33 PM)

I'm the same snarkastic person I am in real life.

PanthersMom -> RE: online you vs offline you (2/17/2009 9:51:54 PM)

i'm me, too much work to be someone else.  people tell me i have a really fresh and sunny outlook on life, i don't know about that, but i love to laugh and will try to find humor even in a bad situation.  no point in being depressed about something if you can find even a little thing to smile about.  too many tears shed in this life as it is.

I'm pretty much what you see is what you get, what you don't see is what you still get.
