And pretending that no one dies in Iraq is propoganda as well.

Who exactly is pretending that, Ken?

The previous administration for starters.

That's a complete lie, Ken.  Total made-up fabrication, and incendiary slander.  I call Bullshit on you.

Name the servicemen whose funerals a sitting Bush cabinet secretary or higher ranked official attended.

That's a hell of a stretch from denying anyone was dying.  I called Bullshit.  I'm sticking with that call.

Then why the shenanigans with casualty figures? How many troops were wounded in theater in 2007?

S.O.P., Ken.  How long before the actual D-Day numbers were released?  You made up a ridiculous lie that the Bush Administration was pretending no one was dying in Iraq, and now you are backpedaling like mad, searching for anything to change the subject.

It was sort of amusing the first five or six times I've seen you follow that pattern in a thread...

IMO, and in the opinion of many others, the Bush administration tried to hide and minimize the casualty and fatality figures for Iraq. Remember the whining they did over various 2000th dead commenmorations?

After some checking D-Day casualty figures were released shortly after the operation, lists of KIA appeared in major newspapers all over the US and numbers of wounded seem to have been available within a few months which considering the size and scope of the Normandy Campaign is pretty  fast. So Iraq was not SOP.

So where is the lie?

The coffins covered by a flag are unidentified and I feel those photos are approrpriate.  The local news reports the deaths of
any current member of the Armed Forces who dies in service and lets the community know where the memorial will be held and where to send condolences.  There is also an art display downtown that has photos of all the U.S. Military personnel killed in the Iraq War.
