True story- Right after film school, I worked on the Canadian Country Music Awards, and inexplicably, him and his wife were presenting an award. He seemed nice enough, but oh my god was she ever a cunt. They almost got arrested in the airport (she was yelling that the security guards were pussies and demanding to see their guns. This is Canada bitch, they don't have guns). They were then banned from the airport and had to drive 3 and a half hours to the closest one to leave. Then they got to the hotel and started screaming in the lobby that it wasn't up to their standards (to give some perspective, the Rolling Stones and Charlize Theron stayed there the month before).
Then they wouldn't let our makeup artists touch them. they brought their own. I never learned her real name, but we referred to her as the cracked out gypsy hooker. She had the same hair as Beth, but weighed about 13 lbs, wore a poncho, and lipliner with no lipstick. During the course of applying Beth's makeup, SHE SPIT ON A QTIP AND USED IT TO WIPE AWAY MASCARA. SPIT.
Beth wore a leather dress that was like, 4 sizes too small and we were placing bets on whether or not it would make it through the broadcast. He wore a shiny cut up football jersey. Good times.
His wife was absolutely the most wretched person I've met in my life.
