Hah, I walk to class every day... 'bout 2 miles worth, though not at the same time. When my BP became a problem I was walking an average of 5 every day. DDR is high-impact, dynamic cardio and it's fun :D It builds coordination, strength, and general health more than walking does Plus, I can do it on my own, and with friends. If I'm feeling particularly competative I can compete against myself, or I can just do a workout set that I've made of songs that I enjoy set in a good, dynamic set. (2 'warm-up' songs, 3 'high impact' songs, 1 'slow' song, 4 'high impact' songs, 2 'low impact' songs, 1 'slow' song, 2 'high impact' songs, for about 23 to 25 minutes) In general the benefits of non-cardio, low-impact exercise aren't really well documented in regards to increasing heart-health (and, hence, BP), and exercise doesn't actually increase weight loss in any significant way (however, it DOES help keep lost weight off).
