When I was 10 I organized a little group of friends to raise money for the local animal shelter. We had a used book sale and one girl's mom donated a box set of Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty series. I bought it for my mom for a buck since I knew she was a fan of Rice's other books. My mom never opened the box set and instead put it away in the attic. Thanks everyone for sharing your stories with me and others. I appreciate the level of openness and hearing that there seemed to be contributing factors for others as well. One of these posts reminded me of when I saw my first 'dirty' magazine. I'm not sure where I found it, who it belonged to or anything else. What I DO remember is the story I read.
