i think most everyone likes to receive compliments, however what you received didn't qualify..and no, i don't think you're response was being 'tight assed'. i've received similar 'compliments' and was expected to be 'flattered' as well. Boy oh boy were they ever surprised to be taken down a notch or two (politely..lol) by *gasp* an Owned slave.

How does he know you weren't flattered? If you "bought" from every flatterer, salesmen would all be millionaires.
