if i could have a dog here, i would... it's policy that we can't have pets--- even fish i guess because of water damage. 

i want a puppy :)

if i could get one who wouldn't ever bark, then maybe i could get away with it.  that's like having a baby that doesn't cry... it's not gonna happen.

i'm going to try turning my fan on tonight to see if it helps... just point it away from me so that i don't freeze. 

tomorrow night the boyfriend will be here, so i'll at least get a good night's sleep for Thursday, if I can't manage it tonight.

       I used to live in a house with a trick board in the frame of my bedroom wall.   Once I figured out what that loud "pop" was, I called it the thermometer.  It happened as soon as it cooled down or warmed up to 45 degrees outside.  Once you learn the sounds your home makes, they will just be part of the routine.

I love the creaky boards in my hallway and dining area. No one gets as far as my bedroom in the still of the night without my being aware. After so long in a place, all the associated noises do become familiar and even comforting.
