Laziness/procrastination gets your happy happy ass on the happy happy train--been there done that, bought the t-shirt and sold it on e-bay.

Submissive doesn't equal service oriented. I'm submissive but not service oriented. So maybe stop pigeon holing people and assuming they're lazy or not trained and see if they really are service oriented or not? Try something really novel and see how people are, not what you want them to be. Talk to them, and much more importantly try listening.

Having the audacity to be owned and not even submissive, let alone *service-bound*, I have to admit that I have a lazy streak a mile wide....I ADORE being with M and not *having* to do anything much.......in fact , I rather think we BOTH do.

Let's face it, some people get their warm and fuzzies from the serving thing and I suppose their guys expect it.

Perhaps the clue was in *servant*..... Bah ...if he wants that , all he has to do is say. I'm sure I can fit in the odd coffee run or bj between massive bouts of utter idleness. I'm not unreasonable, afterall.

I been sitting here rereading over and over this Lazy servants and it just has irritated me.

i tend to be hyper by nature and seldom run into a lazy streak, but do occassionally. This 'servant' is human and i am not bad news. What opportunity is there to instruct me in be not lazy? Does that include making a mold out of me with a new splendid persona. I tend to enjoy serving others ect, because that is a part of me. I resent this servant usage though, so going to figure why it got me riled up.

If they are lazy kick them to the curb or in the ass...one option will work.

Everyone has lazy moments. Someone who is chronically lazy however, cannot be taught not to be. Laziness is an attitude, not a misunderstanding.

Of course Celeste, how could I not agree when we are on the same page here? As always concise and to the point.

There's a distinct difference between lazy and uneducated. People cannot be forced, or educated into, being different than they are. If a person wants to change, they are responsible for that change. Others are just there to help support them.

As a person who suffer with bi polar i have low days where i feel very sad. These are days i craw into my cave and hide from the world.  Now this cave of course is not real it is in my mind, in reality i am lying in my bed or just sitting on the couch.  My family tells me i am lazy at this time. and they gripe at me telling me to get up off my fat ass and do things.  But my desire is so low i am unable to do anything but just go deeper into my mind to be left alone. Once the chemical balance in my brain, levels out then i will feel like doing things again, usually about 7-10 days is what it runs about every 4 months, only about 4 really bad days in there the rest are just days i am tired and am dragging.

My family can not understand the mood swings a person goes through.  Even being on medication will not keep you from having them completely they just limit the intensity of them and the duration of them.

This is not laziness or normal depression but to some they would not understand and the term bi polar they think of all the hprror tv news of which there are very few like that most are like me just mildly out of kelter. With the right Master we can serve, and only need a little bit of extra consideration.

What a lovely post patina and a courageous one too. I have a couple of friends with bi polar. I understand the issues which ignorance of people regarding the disorder can cause and the lack of understanding and tolerance needed or even the hostility by some towards you or other sufferers. Sadly, humans generally fear those things which they have no understanding. This fear of the unknown sometimes brings out the worst in people. I have in mind the tragic story of "The Elephant Man" and his shocking treatment by ignorant masses. Such disorders as bi polar, PTSD, Postnatal Depression to name but a few are nothing to do with laziness unless the sufferer is naturally lazy but they all can and do get labeled by others as bone idle lazy....

On another line of thought, my late Father, a naturally industrious man, always commented that a lazy person is often the most productive worker because they will find the most efficient way to complete tasks and complete them well because they do not want to have to repeat them.

patina,

I'm not sure if you were replying to me or if you did a quick reply. If it's the former, let me clarify: not being able to do something and being lazy are two totally different things. The former is a limitation, the latter is a choice.
