A submissive male who takes on all the domestic chores. Not to be confused with a feminized or sissified male.

But Alexis loves doing the household chores!  Not bad for a TG either.  She is firing up a brisket for Xmas since all of us are sick of turkey.

Shahar, who had a gooble too many

I have some friends, a married couple.  She works outside the home, in a very high paying career.  He stays home, and has taken on the role of house-husband.  There is nothing submissive about him.

You're right, Greedy. They don't have to be submissive, but I guess in a forum like this, the D&s is implied, no?

GreedyTop -> RE: house husband (12/23/2008 7:00:40 PM)

yes, but it still doesnt necessarily mean that the guy has to be submissive :)

LPslittleclip -> RE: house husband (12/23/2008 7:18:20 PM)

a house husband it the male who does all the non paying domestic shores and errands. it does not have to be a submissive position. but as others have said it is appealing.

A man who does what a house wife is typically considered to do. Cleans, cooks, takes care of the kids and doesn't always have anything to do with BDSM. A friend of mine's sister is married. She works, he is a fanastic house husband, and my friend is reasonably certain that they don't have a power dynamic. Granted one can never know for sure but one doesn't have to be kinky to be a house wife so...

Lashra -> RE: house husband (12/23/2008 8:23:35 PM)

The husband is the house "wife" and the wife is the "bread winner". I know a few couples who live this way and they are vanilla. Nothing subby about the hubbies its just the wife makes more money and most of the men enjoy staying home doing the chores and taking care of the kids.

bamabbwsub -> RE: house husband (12/23/2008 8:39:22 PM)

Hmmm...I make a really good salary, but I'm submissive.  Yet I'd LOVE to have a house-husband, because I'm *so* not domesticated (hate cooking, cleaning, and yardwork...ugh!).  Is there such a thing as a Dominant house-husband, or am I living in La-la Land??  :)
